Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already. Lis'sa and Wynn are the only ones here when you arrive.

[ ella swans in right on time and throws herself into a seat before putting her head down on the table and spreading her arms across the edge of it. hello round table, someone missed you terribly. she doesn't even acknowledge wynn or lis'sa. ]

[Riddick saunters into the Round Table room, his gaze flickering to the three others already there. A small smirk quirks his lips as he spots Lis'sa, taking a seat where he has the best view of her the room.]

[Dimitri enters silently shortly after Riddick, nodding his head respectfully at Lis'sa as he has a seat in one of the empty chairs.]

[Phineas slides in last... but notably earlier than he typically is, so maybe he's learning. He snaps shut a small book as he walks in... He hasn't quite mastered texting and walking yet - but he's good with books.]

Oh... Hello! [He grins nervously, looking around the full-ish room.] Who are we waiting on, then?

That would be you. [ lis'sa completely ignores ella hugging the table over there, only making a remark when phineas saunters in, which finally gets her to look up. ] We're all met now so let's not waste any time. [ she gets to her feet, snapping shut a folder open in front of her. ]

Shadow scholars have been searching for years for a location called the tomb of the Four Pharaohs of Ascension. Four contending dynasties long ago weakened Egypt to invading forces, and so the four tyrants had forged a pact between them, magically sealing it and allowing their land to prosper for some time.

One of the Pharaohs, however, fell ill, and given that they had linked their life energies, the others became weakened as well. This destroyed the spirit of union between them, one of the Pharaohs rebelling against the others, so that they turned upon him and ripped him of his power. Sobered by the experience, they decided to work together once more to build a final monument to their empire - a pyramid they believed worthy of encasing their mortal flesh while they rose to take what they believed to be their place among the gods.

The temple was thought to be lost entirely, but some scholars have sought it nevertheless. The arrival of a certain elemental through the Veil recently shifted thousands of tons of desert sand, and a dozen previously unknown pyramids have now miraculously risen from the sand. One of them is rumored to be this self-same tomb.

Word has spread. Treasure hunters from around the globe race to Cairo to try their hand at finding the tomb and exploring it first, potentially getting their hands on whatever dangerous Shadow artifacts may lie within. But Wynn has learned that one man lives who claims to be the only person living to have set eyes on the pyramid - a man named Raegos. He has somewhat reluctantly agreed to speak with us, although the old man seems very paranoid. He insists on our first meeting with an agent of his, named Mithral Scarab, who will take us to him - presumably so that we are not followed.

[ her head pops up almost as soon as lis'sa starts explaining, smile brightening her expression. oh what a mission! (okay, another tomb she can do without, but she'll know enough to pack rope this time.) but this is right up her nerdy alley. history! and magic!

clearly wynn loves her.

she stays quiet for now though because her only offering would be "when do we leave?" ]

[A most curious look is splayed across Phineas' face. He's been wanting to visit some of this world's ruins ever since he came here... but... He's less than keen about going back to that sandy hell they call the desert.]

I've read these pyramids are sometimes cursed. [He says apprehensively]

Then it's our civic duty to make certain none of the masses invoke that curse without us around to stop it. [ it's clear that she doesn't care at all about her civic duty but it makes a great excuse for checking out treasure ]

[Phineas mumbles.] I was... more just worried about us, actually...

[Equally "selfless" - lol.]

Erm... Right.

If there is a curse and it's of a personal nature, we have ways of removing them. If it unleashes something larger, I have faith in all of you to take care of it.

I sounds like time may be of the essence. [Better they deal with anything going wrong than others less well-equipped.] Will we be leaving soon?

Before the end of the month, I bet. [ you guys she can't control her excitement. ] Can I bring Aodhagán? [ because while she can leave her familiar behind, egyptians worshiped cats! he'll fit in fine, right? right! ]

[Riddick hated deserts. His life had been turned upside down in a God-forsaken desert. His eyes slid along the group as they spoke, landing on one of their member in particular. Then again...]

Is there something in particular we're supposed to be searching for in these tombs?

We'll be leaving within a day, actually. We're looking for dangerous magical artifacts that wouldn't be good if they wound up in the wrong hands. The sooner we get a jump on this, the better. No one else is going to be wasting any time. [ she doesn't address ella's question, but wynn gives her a small nod ]
