Everybody loves a media circus and the trial of Rafael Giovanni is no exception. If he was famous before, in the days following the shooting, now he's all people are talking about, and all the tabloids want to focus on. The complications presented at some of the early hearings by Jaka, regarding the identity of the Black Scourge and Rafael's alleged reaction have only made the story more appealing to the millions watching.

They've also caused the trial to drag out for months as facts are checked, evidence is poured over, and the jury becomes only more split on the issue. In the meantime, the holidays fly by, and one of the most terrible winters in years blankets Chicago in blizzards.

This log covers any work and non-work related shenanigans the Knights have while staying in Chicago, immediately following the last log and continuing for the next couple months. This will be the Knight's last time in Chicago before the trial: after which they plan to return to the castle to fully Knight Violet and Elena and decide where to head next.

We're kind of in an unhappiness tundra. But, I mean, who can even blame us? Everything is awful, we take one step forward and get yanked back three miles.

[She just nods, glancing down. She's usually the one to see the brighter side of things, play the optimist. But she can't now.]

But we keep going, so kudos for us. Might be the definition of insanity, but I've found that sanity is overrated, honestly. [ she starts unbraiding the braid she just did before starting over again. it's idly soothing to her, the monotonous pattern of the movement. ] Can I braid your hair forever, can that be a thing?

You can do whatever you'd like with it. [The feeling of Vi's braiding and unbraiding is just as soothing for her. She concentrates on the tingling sensation as the girl's fingers comb through her hair and rebraid it. She'd like to just forget about the other stuff and just focus on the feel good bonding part.]

I know, I know. I'm sorry- it slipped.

It's fine. [ she actually doesn't care when myri and luthir do it. luthir because of the cheating that comes with it just being so hot rolling off his tongue and myri because tbh she drops myrilandel a lot as well, so they're even.

vi just really loves myri's full name. ] But only because I love you.

That's fair. I do love you too, you know. Through everything, I want you to remember that.

Oh, sweetie, I literally could never forget that.

Good. [She just needed to make sure okay. After a few beats of silence, she reaches up to touch her now blonde again locks.] Do you think you can braid my hair up and put flowers in it?

[She could use some girl time.]

You bet. [ all the braids ever. vi shifts to get a better position for braiding and they have a lazy afternoon being girls. happily ever after. the end. ]
