The Knights arrive at the scene of the fire several hours after the fact.  It's clearly gutted the building, located in a commercial district of Rome.  Only one fire truck remains, along with several police cruisers and a van marked 'Arson Investigation Unit' in Italian.  The police team seems hard at work combing over the scene.

A small sign in Italian hangs half-legible over the door.  Though the fire is out, the building still smolders, even as water drips from the blackened timbers and stone.

A chemical plant. Belongs to a company called ChemRight, an American business that has moved in here.

[Kate shifts her gun back into shooting range as soon as he wrenches away from Alanna ready to shoot just in case he tries to pull something.]

Personally, I'm really fond of not-so-nicely.

[ while bo's attempts at diplomacy are moot after everyone else works to shake the guy up, he at least seems to decide not to argue, though he grits his teeth. ]

[Kate turns and gestures slightly with her gun.]

[ alanna looks thoroughly unimpressed. it doesn't even matter if it's true or not, because AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT. ]

[ he splays his hands ] She's only six years old. Have a heart.

She's my daughter. [ he looks... actually distraught a bit (diplomacy 29) ] What, you need to see pictures? Hear her on the phone?

This thug here's her uncle. He's sure as shit not gonna let anything happen to her.

[Will save 21, she seems to falter a bit. Because ugh he seems like he's telling the truth and a kid is involved.]

Then call someone. Set up someone else to pick her up. But you won't like me if you try anything funny.

[Kate's even more convinced by his story (will save 10), and she falters for a moment, but she doesn't say anything, glancing between the other knights and then back to the mob boss again.

[ alanna wouldn't get the sense that he's actually trying to pull anything: he actually just seems concerned about tipping his wife off that something's less than kosher. ]

I've asked Lisabetta not to leave the house right now. [ he shifts a bit ] Some people might be targeting her.

I don't see how that matters. [ alanna snorts at the remark, but looks to rose. ] He's telling the truth. The sooner we let him send someone, the sooner we can move forward.

You say that like it's a bad thing... [No really. Lets not imagine Rose having children just yet.]

Sure, assuming he actually sends them to pick up his kid and not to arrange a welcoming party for us but your call. [And that's where she'll end her argument on the subject. Rose will disagree but it doesn't mean she won't fall into line.]

[ antonio looks ready to roll his eyes. ] The last thing I want is any of my guys being linked to ChemRight. Bad enough you're dragging me down there: I'm not about to start a scene if we can avoid one. Still not sure what you want outta the guy. [ still, he gestures to louis. ] You: go grab Nicolette and bring her home. Tell my wife some business came up, and not to wait up.
