The Knights arrive at the scene of the fire several hours after the fact.  It's clearly gutted the building, located in a commercial district of Rome.  Only one fire truck remains, along with several police cruisers and a van marked 'Arson Investigation Unit' in Italian.  The police team seems hard at work combing over the scene.

A small sign in Italian hangs half-legible over the door.  Though the fire is out, the building still smolders, even as water drips from the blackened timbers and stone.

[Kate takes a glance around, mostly trying to see if she can spot where they parked the car, but she could see other things too (spot 21)! And also possibly may infer things from them (wisdom 11)!]

[ kate may be healed, but she notices something strange on the ground around them. it seems like the 'explosion' also carried some of the chemicals from the building, as she can see strange green stains lingering yet. ]

[Kate takes notice of the chemicals before reaching forward to haul Alanna off the ground and away from the tree (strength 17).]

Come on. We need to get back to the car and away from the plant.

[Meanwhile, Bo is chasing after Moretti at a dead sprint, after being given the okay by Kate.]

[ ok up we go!! alanna joins kate in running the fuck away now. ]

[Annnnd Rose is running after him with Bo. That's it. That's the whole tag.]

[ between them all, they catch up to moretti as he sinks to his knees halfway across the parking lot, a sobbing, shaking mess. in the distance, fire truck sirens are heard approaching, but he just shakes his head and rolls over, apparently giving up. ]

[Kate's got her gun out as she approaches him, more being prepared for anything than actually thinking about shooting him. She feels like she should say something but she has no idea what at the moment, nothing that makes sense and feel natural, so she just intends to keep him where he is.]

[ Alanna jogs to a halt as they reach Moretti. ]

You've got a lot to answer for.

[ And those sirens are people coming to make sure that he does. Mission accomplished ??? ]

[ by the time the police and fire engines arrive, most of the plant has been destroyed by the raging fires. the girls are forced to explain the situation to the angry and confused owners, but a message sent to wynn, who agrees to help pay for the damages, helps alleviate some of their anger.

moretti is taken in for questioning, and spills everything he knows about the dirisio crime syndicate, the jobs they hired him for, the names of his mob contacts, and the places where their meetings usually took place. he also raves about being chased throughout the city by the strange spirit, which he believes to have been the ghost of one of his arson victims, come back to haunt him. simone billox, the arson investigator, thanks them personally for the work they did, although she's obviously a little hesitant about approving of their methods.

all in all, the mission seems to be a great success, aside from the property damage. moretti is put behind bars, presumably for a very long time, and the string of mysterious fires ends, now that the charred one is snuffed out. ]
