Well, I am the Sheriff. [ she arches her eyebrows, then relents, admitting. ] No. I guess I don't. But, my kid's friends would definitely fit the long list of people I do. [ bluff 26 bc she technically ... cannot say whether she'd know her son's friends or not since she doesn't know him at all! but she has been stalking after lila's boyfriend so tbf it's a pretty safe bet. but he's being dodgy, and she doesn't like dodgy, so she's just not going to point out that she can't remember her own son ... ]

[He shakes his head.] Henry and I don't know each other from Storybrooke. To be honest, I never even set foot there. No, Emma, we met in Neverland.

[He arches an eyebrow.] You've heard of Neverland, haven't you? It's a place children visit in their dreams... [Not that Henry went there in his dreams, but it's better to say that than "btw I kidnapped your son to steal his heart."]

[ in his dreams. emma settles back at that, relaxing, because it's not like her kid was whisked away anywhere or it's bad news - he just got the fun of neverland. neverland was great, right? everything emma had read said so, anyway - she'd certainly spent her youth wanting to go. every lost little girl's dream. ]

Yeah, I've heard of it. You, too. [ she adds that as an afterthought. somehow, it's slightly more underwhelming to meet peter pan as an adult than when you'd been hoping to as a kid ... ] There was a book - well, play. Movie. Whatever. [ she waves it off. ] You'll have a harder time finding people who haven't heard of it. Or ... think they have. I don't know how close it got. There was this girl named Wendy, some lost little kids, a buncha mermaids, some ... appalling racism, and ... [ and someone she is aggressively putting out of her head today. but there's really no dodging it at this point. ] Tinkerbell. [ oh wait yes there is 8) ]
