It's Valentine's Day! All around people are happily snuggling up with their loved one or drowning their feelings in booze and/or ice cream. Give out cards or chocolate or commiserate with other single people! Whoo Valentine's Day!

[ as the green lights comes on, jaina puts the pedal down and... veers away as it's clear that she's not at all expecting these to work quite like they do. that first-time go-karter disorientation is not something she's immune to ok. but still she lets out a whoop of laughter as she careens away from the outside of the track in time and gets back on course (drive 14) ]

[For the record, Miles is much better at fixing cars than driving them oops. Probably because he had to drive a piece of shit for a really, really long time and only got to read about the pretty ones.

He's right behind her though as they come out of the gates, a smile plastered on his face at the sound of her laughter (drive 12)]

[He manages to get his car up next to hers as she seems to have a little trouble figuring out the drift on the cart (drive 17)]

[With another drive 17 check, he's at least taking turns like a champ, but he's not catching up to her unless she makes another mistake.]

Maybe I'll let you drive my car after all.

[He it's his baby, but she's got moves, clearly.]

[ with a 19 drive she's still kicking butt around the track. idk writing driving is hard. AROUND AND AROUND THEY GO. and she's having a ton of fun as evidenced by the smile that doesn't leave her face. as least she doesn't try bumping him off the road. ]

[It's like Nascar. Which is as hard to watch as driving is to write, because who wants to watch cars drive around in circles for hours idgi.

BUT I DIGRESS.

Basically, she will clearly win this race. He concedes defeat, but didn't exactly suck it up on the racetrack either.

He pulls over near where they picked the cars up, pulling off his helmet as he gets up out of the kart.]

[ she jumps out with a bounce in her step, pulling off her helmet as well so that her hair can fly free like a l'oreal commercial as she offers him a big grin and a smack on the back of his shoulder. ] You did good, Cuivre. Just not good enough.
