It's Valentine's Day! All around people are happily snuggling up with their loved one or drowning their feelings in booze and/or ice cream. Give out cards or chocolate or commiserate with other single people! Whoo Valentine's Day!

[GONNA DO IT. GONNA WATCH MOULIN ROUGE. And I guess this is the part where we magically handwave them having a great evening watching movies and going to midnight keats and doing all this wonderful stuff and being precious and adorable and now it's four in the morning when they come back to the castle like dumb teenagers.]

I certainly hope there hasn't been a curfew placed I wasn't aware of. [He's stage whispering because they're nowhere near where anyone would be sleeping. Hopefully.]

[ they are disgusting.  actually fired from living. ]  I don't remember the last time I stayed out so late... Other than perhaps, a night where I couldn't put a book down. But that's... not quite the same. [ isn't it, belle. isn't it. ]

Well, I wouldn't want to explain to Hasmed why I'm behaving like a teenager. [Or maybe he would. Look at that light in his eyes as he looks at her. Awww.]

[ she ducks a smile, trying not to laugh ] I'll try to keep it down then.

[For a gimpy guy with a cane, Gold manages to move silently (15) through the halls all the way up to Belle's room, which he only... barely remembers (wis 13), so she probably has to point him in the right direction at least once, but mostly he definitely remembers. More aww. Once at her door, he lingers there for a moment.]

Well, for something so... spur of the moment, it was quite a lovely evening.

I think it would have been a lovely evening even if that had all been according to plan. [ she stops nice and close to him, still holding onto his arm, as her eyes trace his face with gentle fondness. a hint of hope creeps into her smile as she asks: ] Maybe we could... try it again ... sometime?

[Without hesitation and with a look of pure elation, because HERP DERP. PRETTY GIRL. He pauses for a moment and then he leeeeans down to romantically kiss her on her doorstep. Just a little kiss, because he doesn't know if Belle's a sexual t-rex or someone who is going to lose her shit over someone kissing her on the mouth on the first date. He just doesn't know.]

the light in her eyes only becomes prominent as he leans in, and she tilts her lips up to only happily meet his. one hand slowly raises to his hair to invite the kiss to linger a beat longer than he'd intended, a reassurance that it's not only welcome, but desired. ]

[It's a tremendous force of will to eventually pull away from her, but when he does, he's beaming. And for a second he stands there, considering whether to go in for another round or possibly take this to her bedroom... Except no. It's a first date. And he's a gentleman.] Goodnight, Belle.

[ her fingers slowly withdraw from his hair, and the smile on her face mirrors his own. she hovers there for a moment too, before ducking her head a bit, and pushing her door open, saying one last: ] ... Goodnight, Auric.
