Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's access card to open the glass class beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artworks depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Koraith and Tia are all there right on time, clustered in seats one apart from each other closer to where the doors on the far side of the room are. There's no sign of Wynn yet.

[She shoves a hand at him. That perkiness? Never, ever, ever goes away. Yeah. Enjoy your mission.]

Andrea Dodge. Sir Andrea Dodge. Except no one actually calls me Andrea. It's just Andie. What's up?

[Riddick takes her hand after a moment, giving it a healthy shake. Oh boy, this oughta be an interesting mission.]

Richard B. Riddick. [There's a pause where he considers calling himself Sir as well, but he maintains that it sounds ridiculous when tacked onto his name in particular. He leaves it off.] Just call me Riddick.

[Then, very dryly he says:] The ceiling. [He smirks at once of his first attempts at nice sarcasm. He doesn't know what that word really means still. :\]

[Vanille shows up a few minutes late, and tiptoes her way in the room as if she's a child trying to not be noticed sneaking around on their way to do something they're not supposed to.

When she notices Andie in the room she brightens up and stops looking guilty, and grins instead, lifting an arm in the air to wave to the other energetic girl.]

Are we doing introductions? I better not have missed them!

[Puffing up her cheeks in frustration at her being late, she prances her way on over to stand on the other side of poor Riddick, also shoving her hand out at him to shake. Yes, he is right now crammed in the middle of a perky teenage girl sandwich. A lot of men would kill to be in his place, okay.]

I'm Vanille! What's going on with the ceiling? [Yep, she heard that last part as she came into the room, and looks confused before tipping her head back to glance up at it.]

[That ceiling joke is pretty dumb and overplayed. From the way Andie bursts out giggling, though? You'd think he'd just made the joke of the century. It just gets worse when Vanille asks about it. But she manages to stop and breathe long enough to smile at her and wave back excitedly.]

Hey Vanille! Mission!

[What the hell had he gotten himself into?! This teenage girly sandwich was making him nervous. Physically he wasn't worried about being attacked. Mentally though, he felt as though his brain was about to implode from all the sugar-high air that was just released into the room. He was starting to sweat as no one else had been able to get him to do in his history. And that it came from two girly girls? Ridiculous.]

Riddick. [He takes her hand tentatively too, his voice going all grumbly as his discomfort mounted. He twitched in his chair.]

And nothing's going on with the ceiling, it just... Nevermind. [SO UNCOMFORTABLE.]

Fred comes swaggering in, glancing around and doing a mental count.]

Gang's all here. Guess that makes me the late one.

[He hops into a seat next to Koraith, across from the squire sub sandwich over there] Except I still beat Wynn, so I'm gonna call it 'on time'.

[If Riddick had ever felt the need for a life-line, it might have just walked in the room. He's hoping the arrival of Fred and the mention of Wynn would be enough to distract the two females from him. He'd never been claustrophobic before, but he was slowly getting there from this oh-so-uncomfortable sandwich happening over here.

He still says nothing though. He's afraid speaking will encourage them to ask him questions and things. And they are so freaking nice he would feel like an ass for ignoring them.]

[Annnd right on cue, Wynn comes in, from the same door you all entered through, rather than from his sekrit chambers beyond the golden doors. He glances around and then moves to the far side of the table.]

Good, you're all gathered.

I asked to be here due to the sensitive nature of the situation. [He takes a seat in the chair directly in front of those big gold doors, between the elder knights and the squires]

Sir Koraith, if you would?

[The massive golden half dragon pushes his chair back loudly, and comes to his feet, towering over Fred and Tia sitting on either side of him. His face is distorted slightly through the translucent dragon statue, but he looks a bit graver than usual as he explains.]

For those who are unaware of the situation in the nation of Slovechnia, we've been dealing for years with an underground black market slavery trade that the country's government not only endorsed, but also controlled, financed, and profited from. Shadowkind prejudice has been a deeply divisive issue in the country's history, and the buying and selling of Shadow creatures for forced manual labor has been the culmination of many years of racist legislation. Several of our diplomats have worked with prominent politicians and activist groups in an attempt to force the governing body to ban this practice, but we have been blocked at every turn.

Most notably, only a short time ago, when an act of cyberterrorism collapsed the country's financial security, plunging their stocks into a series of worsening dives and wreaking havoc on the government's reserves. The already steep divide between rich and poor became more pronounced, and as unemployment rose, unrest grew in the streets. Many Slovechians have taken to rioting, looting, and even killing the richer citizens who managed to hold onto their funds: most of whom were those who were at the top of the slave trade food chain. This has led to not only a dangerous situation for the Slovechnian citizens, but a perilous one for those Shadowkind slaves who find their owners either dead or unable to afford feeding, clothing, or housing them anymore. Some owners have killed off their own slaves, others lock them up with the intention of starving them... A lucky minority manage their escape, only to find themselves in the midst of the riots.

As you may imagine, the situation is quite bleak. We were forced to recall our diplomatic efforts not long ago. But a new element has entered the equation: the country's former royal family has been making a bid to reseize power, and it looks as if the people intend to bend to this. This is our chance to establish contact with the King before he ascends to the crown, and make our case.

Of course, there is the difficultly of reaching the man for a private word, and, naturally, we wish to help aid as many of the Shadowkind slaves as possible, and find a way to escort them to freedom.

This is our two-fold mission. Reaching Valentin Milosovici safely and attempting to influence his stance on the slavery issue before he takes the throne - and doing what we can for the Shadowkind in captivity to bring them to safety. Other Knights are already stationed in the country, establishing escape routes to expedite the latter process.

[He looks around] Questions thus far?

What kind of a guy will we be dealing with if we can contact this Valentin Milosovici? [Riddick already has a pretty good idea of what kinda guy he is by the fact that he apparently wants the throne now to "make things better," yet when he didn't have it he'd made little to no effort to stop the slave-trade before this. Sounded like a real winner, but maybe he was wrong. Probably not.]

Of that, we have limited intelligence. The Milosovici family has largely kept to itself since its deposition from the throne. We aren't certain what his stance on the subject will be at the onset.

Hmmm. [Riddick leans back in his seat, taking the time to let the information sink in. He was looking forward to getting there soon to see what could be done to help. Mainly to see what kind of ass needed to be kicked. He was in that kind of mood.]

[Whoops, Andie critically failed her concentration check and zoned out about two words into that speech. She suddenly realizes that the briefing happened and she missed it and she has absolutely no clue what's going on. She raises a hand slowly, looking sheepish.]

Uh, can you... go over that again in like, bullet point form? Or write it! Did anyone take notes?

[Riddick looks over to Andie with as close to a look of incredulous disbelief as has ever been seen on him before. The briefing had just happened and she hadn't paid attention? It wasn't too much information to take in all in one sitting, at least he hadn't thought so. He just looks back to Koraith, wondering what the hell kind of humaniod creature he was. What are Dragons, Riddick wants to know.]

... We can go over it on the plane, if you want. [He shoots her a sympathetic look] Our main job is trying to negotiate with this Milosovici guy. Which involves reaching him and trying to help out who we can along the way. Free some slaves, get them out of the country. Most of that kind of work's already getting started for us.

Oh, okay. That sounds good. [Now why couldn't Sir Koraith have put it like that? But she's glad she can get filled in on the details on the plane.]
