It's over. After months of being sidelined by the trial of their friend Rafael, the Knights are finally free to return to England and see what headway the Dragon's Claws have made on discovering the location of the Talisman they seek.

But not everyone is so free to return. The consequence of getting Burt's assistance in disentangling Finnick from his contract and super-stardom was an ironclad agreement that allows Burt to sink his claws fully into Rafael's career. Considering that Burt knows their secret identity, non-disclosure agreement or not, the executive's renowned moral gray-itude doesn't exactly make it seem like a great plan to back out on the compromise.

They've at least been able to put off their goodbyes for a few days since the end of the trial, as Burt invited all of them to New York City for the opening of his brand new nightclub. Some of them flew out, while Archer and Des presumably drove their matching El Caminos cross-country in the days between. But now they've all met again in the Big Apple, for a celebration - and farewell of sorts.

[same. which is probably even more disappointing for burt since everyone should have expected finnick to just come for the booze anyway. whatever. he's drinking, he's being sullen, it's another day in not-paradise. at least vi is there he guesses ...]

Her name is Nadia. [ so uncaring, whoops. she should probably care she assumes, but that takes way too much effort. except... ] Is she alone?

Perhaps we should find out. [ he looks over at vi, his words a cautious invitation. he knows exactly how hard it is for her to summon up the will to care about doing anything now, but he's afraid to let her sink too deeply into accepting as much and settling for it.

it's been a particularly harsh winter, and her nightmares haven't receded. while everyone else has concerned themselves over the trial, he's had all of one purpose driving his involvement here: making sure vi makes it to spring alive. and it's a very delicate balance between not pushing her too hard and not ignoring the danger of her condition. ] Speak to her?

What if she isn't alone? What if she's with... you know. I'm not going down there just to find him instead. [ she means blade, if it isn't obvious by the disgust that drips off the single syllable of "him". ] Can Vincent go retrieve her for us?

Not a bad idea. I'll keep watch in case anyone tries to follow her. I can always run... interference.

[ vincent takes his instructions for finding nadia, and luthir parks himself out on the steps, arms folded to conceal a silver knife in his hand. just in case.

while they wait, isa turns to the two of them, considering them with a frown. there's still no response from kat. ] Are the two of you armed?

Only with my sparkling wit and a devil may care attitude masking a heart of gold. [ no but really, her bow and sword aren't exactly compact and easy to conceal. but as much as she's apathetic concerning her own personal safety (except apparently in regards to blade, who knew), she isn't so when it comes to elena and finnick. and she lifts her skirt a little to show the knife straped to her thigh like a garter of pain. ] I have pepper spray in my bra.

[ vincent comes back with nadia in tow, who, interestingly enough, is sporting an ensemble with spiderweb patterns on the shirt. luthir glances through the door beyond her shoulder when she's entered, nodding at vi as if to say it's all clear behind her, but he stays out there to watch as vincent closes the door. nadia glances around at the three of them. ]

Where are the rest of you?

We sold their organs on the black market to bankroll our excessive alcohol consumption. Did you know that bone marrow is worth, like, millions of dollars? Lots of scotch. [ sob. she's just so out of fucks she can't begin to pull back her flippancy. ] Nice shirt.

[ vi glances at finnick briefly, reaching over to squeeze his hand. ] She's not here, right now. But you are speaking to her sister, so I'm pretty sure I'm the closest you're going to get.

[coldheritage]

I suppose you can take a message, just the same. [ still, she's frowning, as if that wasn't all she'd had to say. ] Blade wants to see you all, and Giovanni. He's in town, owns a club here in the city.

[ her reactionary scowl is immediate, fingers tensing. ]

Of course he does. [ wants to see them, owns a club, who knows. ] Why?

I didn't ask. I just know he wants to talk, sometime before dawn.

[ what time is it now? she glances at her watch, spares at glance toward the stairs where everyone had ventured down to get hammered. oh yeah, that's not gonna happen. traipsing over to blade's club with half the team sloshed is not a plan she ever wants to see put into action since she's 9000% sure that only archer can do his job better drunk than sober. ]

As much as we appreciate the offer, I'm going to need something more than my creepy stalker's lackey "wanting to talk".
