What was supposed to be a night to unwind wound up with a confrontation between Failboat and Keijen Blade that didn't exactly go the way the team was hoping for. However, in the process, they at least managed to get Isabella back and extract Dumage from her long term undercover assignment.

The remainder of the night is spent back at the hotel, recuperating, in order to catch the flight back to London the next morning. This also means saying goodbye to those who will be going back to Chicago: Isabella, Burt, and Rafael.

[ oh hugs. she just... sort of stands there and lets it happen for a second, completely unwanted tears silently tumbling down her cheeks and she squeezes her eyes shut. she had literally been fine until he touched her. eventually she exhales shakily and nods a little. ] Sure.

Your wedding? [ is that just a figure of speech?? with vi, it can be hard to tell. but he looks excited just in case. ]

[ she makes a face, ugh her stupid mouth working faster than her brain. ] Don't tell anyone, okay?

No one will hear a word from me. [ still, his eyes are all lit up. ] A secret, then, or just waiting until a better time?

Both, maybe, I don't know. [ she shrugs helplessly. ] It's not really a secret, per se, I just don't want to add another thing on people's plates.

Such a thing is not a burden to anyone. Happiness in love lightens the heart, no?

[ another shrug. she does not know how to cope with emotion at this present time, rafael, she has no idea what she is doing. ] No? I don't know. It's just... everyone lost so much, it feels like, like gloating. [ part of her recognizes that after nine months people have started moving on from jade, but she can't because she relives it on the nightly, so she can't really understand that maybe it's not as raw to everyone else. but that plus myri and finnick's break up and gloating is what it feels like to her, even though that's ridiculous. ]

As one who has lost much myself, you must take my word: [ he reaches over to squeeze her hand once, and then drops it ] I am only glad to see others find light in such darkness.

Well. I guess, you're welcome for that dose of happiness then. [ she curtsies. ]
