Being friends with someone as spontaneous as Faith can have its perks. She's invited the entire under-30 crowd at the castle to come celebrate her friend Andie's 21st birthday at an exclusive dance club called the Silver Band in downtown London.

The club is swirling with colors, as disco balls reflect silvery light that catches on the large quantities of glitter that cover just about every surface. The main dance floors are made of transparent glass, and the club is multi-storied, so that you can choose to dance higher up and see everyone below under your feet. Below the ground floor is a strange black canopy that seems to reflect odd flickering lights, almost like stars. There's a sort of classic opulence to the decor, and hallways branch off here and there to private rooms out of sight. Floating lights bob around the ceiling, that look almost like crystalline balls, except they're light as bubbles and can pop when touched.

Strangely, there are cobwebs in various areas of the club, mostly out of reach, as if it hasn't had occasion to be cleaned in awhile, but there's no traces of grime or dirt anywhere. Faith has a private room procured off one of the halls for the mini-buffet, because how can it be Andie's birthday without food??

[yep, jordan sure is here. and he sure does look uncomfortable, standing next to the food table, holding a plate of finger foods but not really eating anything. Instead he is looking around in quick glances, eyes darting to the door repeatedly.

he sure is the best person to have along at a party where you should be having fun.]

[ don't think she doesn't notice that look, boy. ] Are you expecting somebody? [ she shoves a marshmallow in her mouth. b/c they have those. ]

[he...sure jumps, that's how distracted Jordan is. dragging his eyes away from the door and over to faith takes a moment, but finally he settles on her features, taking a deep breath.]

More like dreading someone... Faith, how did you hear about this place, exactly?

[missindependent]

[ fiona's just crashing all their threads, apparently ] You have some stalker ex-girlfriend, or something?

[wishuponadjinn]

[His head whips around at Fiona's voice on his other side, relief rushing through him for a brief moment that he hadn't lost her in the club. Yet.]

NO! Er, no nothing like that. I mean, not the ex-girlfriend thing. I-I mean, the stalker thing isn't really true either, I guess...

[moonheart]

Well, I know you're not looking at the door because you wanna leave. We just got here!

[wishuponadjinn]

N-no, of course not, but it's just that... [his eyes flick once more to Fiona, and then from her to the door and back again.] It's just that I don't really have a good feeling about this club.

[bluff 23. he's trying so hard.]

[moonheart]

Why not? The guy who told me about it seemed pretty on the level. He's how I got us in here in the first place.

[missindependent]

And I happen to have an exceptionally awesome feeling about this club.

[his eyes narrow, giving her a worried look.]

Who was the guy?

[moonheart]

I think his name was... Vance?

[wishuponadjinn]

[and jordan's head explodes. the end of jordan.

no, but really, his face goes completely pale when she says that name. And a panic ensues.]

V-Vance? Oh, that is...that is not good. That is bad, we need to get out of here like, right now!

[moonheart]

Out of this room? You're right: we should be dancing! [ and she'll just grab his arm and start dragging him out of there. ] C'mon!

[missindependent]

[ fiona raises her glass to them as they leave, and she'll just stay here with the booze for a couple more minutes ]

[wishuponadjinn]

Faith, wait-! [he goes to reach for fiona, either to take her with or to keep himself there who knows? but a reflex save of 9 means he just flails his had in the air in her direction.] Fiona, don't leave this room, promise!

[moonheart]

So clearly you know how to slow dance, but let's see what other moves you've got, Mister.

[wishuponadjinn]

[he sure doesn't try and stop her too hard from pulling him once more onto the dancefloor, though he does keep a wary eye on the entrance.

After a few moments he seems to relax enough to get into the dancing rhythm (dance 17)]

Sorry for being so paranoid tonight...

[ with a dance of 15, she manages to keep up just fine, pulling him close with a forgiving smile. ] It's not your scene, I can tell. But it doesn't have to be for you to enjoy dancing with me.

[wishuponadjinn]

[and boy does he ever like dancing with her. He pulls her just a bit closer as the music works into and over them. It doesn't take long before Jordan seems to stop resisting the feeling of uninhibited fun as they dance and grind on the dance floor.]

I guess this is one of the better ways to relax here.

faith's smiles are electric as she pushes as close to him as she can, until it's all heat and proximity and then she leans closer so that she can say loudly in his ear, so that it can be heard easily above the crowd: ] I really wish you would kiss me!

[wishuponadjinn]

[his hands spasm wildly where they rest on her hips only half a second before he closes the distance between them, lips pressed to hers, soft at first but growing in intensity quickly. His steps slow until they are standing still in the middle of the dance floor, kissing like the world is going to end.

and he doesn't seem inclined to stop anytime soon.]

[moonheart]

[ oh wow, he's sure... enthusiastic about it. faith likes. with her crit failed wisdom check and her complete fail at even knowing he's a genie so far, she sure doesn't put two and two together. her lips part against his as she opens the kiss and presses her hips flush against his own, also apparently forgetting they're on a crowded dance floor, even when people bump or jostle against them. her own hands slide up his neck, fingers tangling in his hair to pull him in tighter. ]

[with another horrible will save he will just continue to kiss her breathless, hands wrapped around her hips to draw her closer still.

as the kiss deepens, the air around them seems to fairly crackle with a sort of electric energy, making the hair on the backs of their necks stand on end. faith be able to feel the static snapping at her fingers as she runs them up through his hair.]

[moonheart]

[ faith totally notices, and it's enough to prompt her to yank herself out of the kiss, eyes widened in amazement at the remaining sparks. ] ... Wow.

[Jordan's eyes snap open, blazing an unnaturally bright blue as he focuses on Faith once more.

He also fails spectacularly at his wisdom check, so he has no idea what faith is all wide-eyed about.]
