Being friends with someone as spontaneous as Faith can have its perks. She's invited the entire under-30 crowd at the castle to come celebrate her friend Andie's 21st birthday at an exclusive dance club called the Silver Band in downtown London.

The club is swirling with colors, as disco balls reflect silvery light that catches on the large quantities of glitter that cover just about every surface. The main dance floors are made of transparent glass, and the club is multi-storied, so that you can choose to dance higher up and see everyone below under your feet. Below the ground floor is a strange black canopy that seems to reflect odd flickering lights, almost like stars. There's a sort of classic opulence to the decor, and hallways branch off here and there to private rooms out of sight. Floating lights bob around the ceiling, that look almost like crystalline balls, except they're light as bubbles and can pop when touched.

Strangely, there are cobwebs in various areas of the club, mostly out of reach, as if it hasn't had occasion to be cleaned in awhile, but there's no traces of grime or dirt anywhere. Faith has a private room procured off one of the halls for the mini-buffet, because how can it be Andie's birthday without food??

[ Mars was a bit freer with himself at the moment as he smiled brightly at her and moved to the bar to order two of the drink. When they were slid across he paid and held hers out to her.]

[ faith takes it gratefully and clinks it against his ] Bottoms up! [ and then downs the whole thing. like a fucking champ. ]

[ He arched a brow impressed at that before he took a drink. Unlike her, he just took a drink. He couldn't down that much.]

Damn, that was impressive.

Sounds like it. What I wouldn't give for that. [ he chuckled some and took a drink from the glass. Feeling a little looser then he normally might he dared be bold and leaned in to kiss her cheek.]

[ she grins, turning her cheek playfully towards him, pleased. ] Afraid I don't have a way to share, or I'd hook you up.

[ He giggled at that. Shaking his head some he smiled.] One day I'll find a spell that does that for me.

Ooo, you're a mage?

[charismapotion]

Even better, love. I'm a sorcerer. [ He winked a bit. Venus was judging them both from the stool she had somehow climbed up on.]

[ ut oh, animal alert. sorry in advance venus. ] A sorc- Oh!! Is he yours? [ and she's gonna scoop up the cat with no further preamble, HI BUNDLE OF FUZZ. (22 handle animal) ]

She [ He corrected quickly as he watched her pick up Venus who seemed oddly fine with it, she liked womens attention.] She hates when people confuse her for a male. Her name's Venus.

Like the goddess of love?

I think more the planet but, that works too.

[ he spoke with a grin, slipping his hands into his pockets. Yep, Venus liked her, she was purring in Faith's arms.]

Oh! Cuz you're Mars! I get it.

My grandmother named her, she thought that was far too funny. [ he admitted with a grin.] But yes, that is why.

It's cute, I dig it. I always thought familiars were so cool. I wish I had a connection like that to any of my pets.

It is a pretty amazing thing to be able to do. Sometimes they make for better company then most people.

[moonheart]

You aren't a big people guy?

[charismapotion]

I love people, but it may sound bad but I don't trust people. I would rather spend my life helping others then really immersing myself in them.

[moonheart]

[ this is the polar opposite of what faith believes in so she stares at him wide-eyed ] But... then you never really get to know anybody. Take any chances.

Seems a safer way to live. [ He shrugged then some.] I have my sister, I don't really need much else. I would rather not take the risk and leave her alone.

[moonheart]

Who says you're going to have to leave her alone, just because you want to do things? I doubt she'd want you to give up having your own life.

Until she is an adult, I can not afford to do anything too risky. She's already lost our parents. And I would never ask her what she wants me to do. It is my job to look out for her, even if she is back in the States.
