Although they didn't technically define their relationship until a while after they first met, Sylar is in town now and might not be on whatever fucking day that conversation happened, so why not celebrate their ~anniversary~ now? He's just grasping at straws to stick around, lbr. The night starts out, like most of their London-based date nights, at Nando's.

"So," he starts, mouth full of food because he's like five years old, "I was thinking about something we talked about awhile ago."

We can. And people are surprisingly predictable. I've been watching him for a few days; he has a routine.

Ah, so this is the "nothing" you were doing while I was working? [ so cute. ]

[watchmaker]

It's possible. [such a sweet smile.] I had to do something to entertain myself while you were gone.

So you took up stalking. That's adorable. Can we get dessert? I want cake.

[good thing nando's has a dessert menu for them to peruse. which is what sylar is doing now.] What if I ordered one of each cake? Because that's what I'm feeling like right now.

That's not even a lot. I want the chocolate one. With chocolate ice cream.

[watchmaker]

That settles that, then. [he flags down someone so he can order all the cakes. with two of the chocolate ice cream one. it's ok, he'll share all of his too ... maybe.]

[ leaning back, she relaxes in her seat, rolling her glass between her hands. ] Emma was surprised we've been together this long.

[watchmaker]

[he doesn't seem particularly surprised to hear that.] She didn't seem to think very much of me.

[bittersweeter]

I don't think she thinks very much of any guy, honestly. But I meant, do you find it surprising?

[watchmaker]

Not really? But I don't remember ever being in another relationship. I don't have any sort of standard to measure us against.

[bittersweeter]

I guess that makes sense. Anyway if you ever left I'd just find you and make you love me again, so.

[watchmaker]

That's a non-problem. You could never get rid of me.

[bittersweeter]

Good. [ insert aggressive plurk emote here. ] So what're we gonna do after?

Whatever you want? [he assumes she means after their murder date, not after dessert.]

[bittersweeter]

You know, if I hadn't seen you be single minded to a fault -- [ because he is so stubborn sometimes, so stubborn. ] -- I'd think you were incredibly indecisive because you always make me decide what we're gonna do. [ not that she minds since she's such a bossy person and she loves getting what she wants. ]

[watchmaker]

Would you rather I didn't?

[bittersweeter]

Oh, no, I like being bossy. [ match made in heaven tbh. ] I was just noticing it.

[watchmaker]

Good. I just like seeing you happy, and you're happiest when you get your way. [he bops her on the nose with his finger.]

[bittersweeter]

[ her nose wrinkles automatically. stahp. she actually, gently, bats his hand away. cat girlfriend. ] You're probably the only one, honestly.

What makes you say that?

Well, I mean, you want me happy. Everyone else wants me happy, but with caveats. Happy in a way they want. [ like being a good person and, probably, not with him. ] I don't know, it doesn't matter. What I meant to say is thanks for trying to make me happy, you are startlingly good at it.
