Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

Myri, Wynn, and Koraith wait up at the front of the room for Elena to approach them, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

"Sir Elena Gilbert, please kneel."

[She can't help it, that brings a smile of relief to her cheeks, and she actually moves forward to grip both of his forearms.] Thank you.

[he's going to take a mile from that inch and pull her in for a hug.] Can we just — can't it just be like it was before?

[And she collapses against him, arms tightening around him as if he were the only thing keeping her from drifting away. Tears threaten her eyes as she presses closer, and her voice wavers a bit as she says:] Yes. Just the way it was before - before everything. That's all I want, Finnick.

I just want to go back.

Me too, Myri. [he squeezes her, too, afraid to ever let go.] I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for all I've done to hurt you.

I don't want to hold on to any of it anymore. Can't we just... can't we just forgive and forget all of it?

I will if you will.

I have. I do. [She squeezes her eyes shut, pressing her forehead to his.] I forgive you.

I love you so much. [fuck it, he's going in for the kiss.]

[Her lips press against his with an emotional intensity, arms curving around his neck. There's no hesitation, no question. It's clear that this is what she wants, and she's done pretending otherwise. ]

[he lifts her up off the floor so he doesn't have to crane his neck down to kiss her. it's romantic, ok. he missed her terribly, and it shows in the desperation with which he kisses her.]

[ THEYRE SO CUTE and she hates to interrupt, but she doesn't actually hate to interrupt. ]

Ewwww, gross. Get a room, losers. [ /draws hearts around her best friends pm. ] Also, I.... totally told you so. Both of you. Just saying.

[VI. No, it's ok, Myri loves you. And tosses her a happy smile.] That you did.

[yeah, finnick doesn't seem too bothered about being interrupted, either.] Shame on us for ever doubting you.

Damn fucking right it is. Carry on. [ she waves a hand imperiously. yes, dears, she only came over to interrupt your interlude to say "told you so" because she is a child. her besties are back together, all is well in the world. she's gonna head back to luthir now. ] Toodles.

[Myri shoots an embarrassed smile up at Finnick from beneath her lashes.] Everything's perfect.

I agree. [he kisses her again, just for good measure.] I can't remember the last time I felt this happy.

I do. [She lays one hand on his chest, looking up at him happily.]
