Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

Myri, Wynn, and Koraith wait up at the front of the room for Elena to approach them, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

"Sir Elena Gilbert, please kneel."

Without knowing it, I suppose. An opportunity had presented itself, and it seemed impossible not to get swept up in the moment. [ which sounds so... disenchanted, but she's smiling as she says it, so part of her is still clearly happy with this course of events ]

That he is. Devilishly so. [ yeah, he's excessively hot and she's never even gonna try to deny that as she smirks knowingly in dumage's direction ] I would have brought him along had my invitation extended to a plus one.

Personally, I think you've both been around long enough to warrant crashing rights.

We have been spending a great deal of time together as of late, perhaps he needed a break to... recuperate. [ look, i'm sure she's spent the couple years they've known each other having dumage rub in her healthy sex life knowing full well francesca had none, so this is payback ]

A way to separate my head from my heart? [ she seems to consider that for a moment ] I spend the majority of my professional life doing just that. I'd rather not have it seep into my private life as well.
