The air that hangs over Vi's Knighting Ceremony is a study of contrasts: it's impossible to forget the events of the week before, or the fact that Thomas is still held captive, or even the reality of Vi's impending final bout with the Nightmare god haunting her dreams.  At the same time, the atmosphere is lightened by the nuptials intended to follow the ceremony.  It's that whole complicated Walk to Remember vibe, ok.

Vi's invitees are given seats of honor at the front of the ranks of the Dragon's Light members - a comparatively small sect, and Kat, Wynn, and the incredibly stoic Sir Solace, section head of the Light, wait up at the front of the room for Vi to approach them, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.
