The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Druid, actually. And I live in the castle, the bear lives in the woods. [ he ain't even bothered, just casually correcting the assumption that he lives in lan's unabomber cabin in the woods. he def sleeps in the castle. ]

[ The Doctor's not really great at seeing the whole what's going on here thing (wis 7). Really, he can flirt it up a right storm sometimes, but sometimes he doesn't even really properly realise when he's being flirted with. His eyes glance down to the way Gus touches his suit. It'd be weird but then what's personal space? ]

Oh! Oh yes. Well a very nice suit it is too! Though it'd be better with a bowtie.

Yes well I gave them up for a while but you only live once. Well, once or thirteen times. [ nope, not explaining that one. ]

[ omg doctor, stahp. staaaaaahp. you're killing him here, he has no defense against the doctor's dumb charm. and his cute face. and his deceptively built frame because gus' hand is still against his chest and damn, doctor. ] Maybe you and I could slip away and you can tell me more about your bowties. [ his hand lifts to touch one corner with his index finger. ]

[ apparently the Doctor is being extra special in the oblivious department (wis 6 - yeah idek). He frowns a bit though, because he's probably the first person that's ever asked him to not shut up about bowties. ]

Well there's really not much to tell... Though there's quite the skill to tying one! Takes some practise let me tell you! I could show you if you like.

[ yeah because taking an item of clothing off will help. sure. ]

And what about the people that keep themselves away? What about bringing them down? Nothing wrong with being happy when you're sad, you know. In fact sometimes it's all there is.

[ it's okay, gus is equally dense and just thinks the doctor wants to play rock, paper, take off all your clothes... so. he's a-okay with that. ] I'd love that.

[ okay good let's go somewhere quiet and not at all for anything other than an education in neckwear. he knew writing that Big Book of Bow Ties would come in useful one day. He turns his head, looking for a door. ]

I do hope you can keep up, because once I get started I tend to go quite fast.
