[ The teleportation spell brings them to a chilly, but recognizable destination. Though it isn't exactly the same as the city that Natasha may recall, the Kremlin is impossible to misidentify, and that's precisely where Loki is headed.

Natasha's free will is returned to her the minute they arrive, leaving her slightly disoriented, and potentially questioning why she had even listened to his demands (pending a reasonable wisdom check). They touch down 500 yards from the front of the Kremlin. ]

[Grabbing a couple of bottles from a shelf, she's in and out pretty quickly -- and glad for the fact that everything looks to be in order. Walking back into the room, she sets the bottles on the floor by the table.]

What'd I miss? [She takes her seat again.]

[ That night, after further celebrating, they're invited to stay at the President's home as guests. The mansion is three stories, filled with elaborate artwork and intricate architecture from the baseboards to the winding staircases. Loki and Natasha are housed in the guest wing, in adjoining rooms.

When they retire, Loki strips off his battle armor in the darkness of his room. ]

[In her own room, Natasha goes for slipping off her dress that she's been in across a party, two countries, and causing a whole lot of trouble in a government building, and starts to lounge around now just in her strapless bra and panties. She isn't sure if she's ready to consider sleep or not yet, or if she should just stay up and see what happens tomorrow. One thing she is sure of, however, is that her feet are killing her and she regrets leaving her shoes at the party in India.]

[ Loki makes a concerted effort to keep Natasha by his side in the day that follows, keeping her at his side as an advisor for the purposes of explaining her presence to the other officials of the Russian government. Any who disagree face fear of death, particularly after the announcement makes his position official.

In an office on the top floor, Loki sits at a golden throne that he’s made out of what used to be an office chair behind the desk in the presidential suite. Government officials pass in and out to update the two of them on policies and procedures, right down to finding out their coffee orders.

Down below, dozens of guards stand between the team of Knights and the presidential suite. Your move. ]

[She's a little bit " r u srs? :| " at the golden throne, but he does in fact seem to be quite serious about it, so she'll just keep that thought to herself. For now, she mostly does as she's guided, because she'll need a lot more resources than she has at the moment to work on reversing this problem, so figuring out how to acquire those is gonna take a while. She'll take notes both to occupy herself and to look like someone in the role of an advisor.]

[Welp. Now that they know where Loki is it's time to... try and free all of Russia, get Natasha back, and defeat Loki. Easy?!? Hahaha. Anyway, it's time for our resident sneaky-ass speedster to try and zip around the castle unnoticed and see what she can scope out. Her move silently is a 20, and her search is 5 action point says 19! She's looking to find Loki and Natasha's positions, the evil pitcher, and maybe some uniforms so the less speedy members of the team can sneak in too.]

[ There’s good news and bad news.

The good news is that Andie manages to speed straight past the guards and into the room where the pitcher is being held. The bad news is that room is adjoined to the presidential office, so she has to speed right past Loki and Natasha.

And she’s not quiet or quick enough to dodge his keen senses (22).

He casts close on the door of the adjoining room where she finds the pitcher, shutting Andie inside and getting to his feet. He looks to Natasha and remarks, ] My, my. You do have a way of attracting quite the persistent group. It would seem your friends haven’t forgotten about you, after all.

[Craaaaap. Well. At least he's locked her with the thing she was trying to get at anyway. The pitcher is in a locked display case, but Andie's been working on her lock picking (open lock 23). She starts working the lock, hoping against hope that she can... at least smash the pitcher or something before Loki gets in here.]

[ That opens the case! ]

[Hooray! Andie's gonna grab it and drop it... hopefully this will cause it to break.]

[ clunk thunk.

it falls to the ground, undamaged. ]

[Gdi. Time for plan B. If she can get past Loki, at least. She picks it up and... tries the door.]

[ It opens, and Loki is standing


right in front of it. :) ]

Leaving so soon?

[Oh crap. Andie looks up at him nervously, letting out a frightened little giggle.] Well, you know how it is. I'm a really busy person and I'd love to stay and chat but... um... bye.

[She dives past him (tumble check 24 to avoid attacks of opportunity), rolling back to her feet and running to grab Natasha's hand.]

[She can't help it. If she can make a rescue attempt, she will.]

[ Actually that tumble check was under 20 and therefore

a failure. :) Thanks for rerolling.

And Loki will step in before she gets to Natasha, grabbing for Andie. While she lashes out at him, he dodges easily and secures his hand around Andie's throat. He uses that grip to pin her against the wall with a particularly rough slam. He leans in close, gripping her jaw. ]

I suggest you tell me how many are in your number and precisely what it is you plan to do here.

[She gasps, eyes wide as she looks up at him, but there's a certain firmness to her expression (will 16). She still looks terrified, but her resolve is gathered.] We're here to overthrow you. Maybe you should just run now while you have the chance.

Ah, yes, dashing heroics. I might have guessed. But how?

[ He presses her harder into the wall, and leans in.

[idk why I even bothered to roll against that I mean I guess she could have nat 20'd but her 10 sure didn't do jackshit. She lets out a little whine.]

He lets her wrestle away, looking startled and then thrilled by some new development. He begins to chuckle. He's not quite through with her yet. ]

And when you have exhausted your futile efforts to destroy the work of your gods, what then? Will you fight for your trinket? Die for it?

[ The laughter persists as he wheels to look at her, raising a hand and uttering a command. ]

Take what you need here, return to your companions, and tell them nothing of this encounter. Agent Romanoff and the decanter will remain until you return to me: once you do, you will insist it remain here, at all costs.

[ Oddly enough, his words seem perfectly reasonable (to Andie, at least). There's no way they could destroy the decanter, so what's the point in taking it away from him or trying again? It seems more important to bring the others back and explain everything once they're here to see for themselves. ]

[That all seems pretty clear. Andie nods.] ...ok. [And off she goes, dropping the pitcher and runs off to find the soldier uniforms.

Then she runs out to meet everyone, looking like everything's normal.]

[meanwhile, the rest of the team is waiting in a cafe in red square because ... them huddling outside the kremlin would probably be suspicious as fuck??? and some of the team needs coffee in the morning to function. (spoilers: it's this one.) he looks up at from his phone where he's probably ... sexting piffy or smth lbr to see andie rejoining them.]

Did you get lost? [it's a joke because she's a speedster!!!! HA HA SO FUNNY.]

[ thor is seated at the table, looking ridiculously out of place and drawing a lot of stares. yep. he looks up seriously when andie appears, leaning forward: ] What news?

[Yeah, they asked all the questions, David's just going to evaluate that Andie's here and she seems to be fine. But Alex isn't wrong, it had taken a while for Andie, which means his spidey sense was starting to tingle.

Or maybe he's just antsy.

But for right now, he'll stay quiet and just wait for her to talk.]

[It really hasn't taken a noticeably long time. Maybe a full minute. For Andie, every single second might stretch to make the difference. For other people, it would be negligible. And there was a lot of palace to search.]

I got the stuff! And Loki and Natasha are in the presidential office. We'll find them easily!
