[ The teleportation spell brings them to a chilly, but recognizable destination. Though it isn't exactly the same as the city that Natasha may recall, the Kremlin is impossible to misidentify, and that's precisely where Loki is headed.

Natasha's free will is returned to her the minute they arrive, leaving her slightly disoriented, and potentially questioning why she had even listened to his demands (pending a reasonable wisdom check). They touch down 500 yards from the front of the Kremlin. ]

[ While the Doctor can't spot the decanter from where he is, he does spot the only reasonable direction to go from here: a door off to the side of the room. It'll take him his full turn to get to the (closed) door, but next turn he's free to go inside.

When Andie hits Guard 1, it knocks him out of the way of Natasha's blow easily. He winds back up, ignoring Andie and fires off a shot at Natasha (atk 18, dmg 5). That's what you get for drawing his attention.

Guard 2, meanwhile, winds up and takes another stab at David (atk 22, dmg 4). ]

[ Loki takes advantage of Thor's betrayed fury, allowing him to barrel straight through an illusory duplicate, shattering it while the real Loki teleports 10 ft away, snickering as if he holds some great secret. For all intents and purposes, he appears perfectly unfazed, composed even. Certainly unapologetic. ]

My people? My people are dead.

[ At the very least, he tried to kill most of them. Who knows how successful he was. Maybe there are like 5 frost giants hanging out somewhere who weren't destroyed when Loki fucked the Bifrost in the ass. ]

[ Rather than lunge forward to attack, Loki casts a spell. sending an arc of fire from his fingertips to scorch Thor for 27 damage (ref 19 for half). The flames leap from where Thor stands to Andie, dealing 4 fire damage to her (ref 19 for half). Another 2 fire damage hits David as the fire spreads to him (ref 19 for half, also). ]

[Owww Andie liked this outfit. But her reflex save of 36 means she's definitely just taking half.

Andie's wis 13 means she realizes where the Doctor is headed since there's... only one door and she remembers what's behind it and NO HE CAN'T. She breaks away from her fight and beelines for the Doctor, heedless of any attacks of opportunity she may provoke. Then, she sticks out her leg and hooks it around the Doctor's, trying to trip him up (atk 22, opposed str check 5).]

[ All limbs that he is, and quick as Andie is, she actually does manage to trip him, gdi Andi (str 4), but he rights himself and looks towards her. But as soon as she speaks, he frowns. (sense motive 18). ]

What do you know? What aren't you telling us?

[David manages to stamp the fire out quickly, just in time to follow Andie's mad dash after the Doctor (reflex save 19). He's still got a guard in front of him, so it's not like he can go after her, but he can yell, at least.]

[Unfortunately, it leaves him distracted so when he does try to attack Guard #2 again, he misses, slicing just past him with the sword (attack 17).]

[Whoa hi fires. Since there are enough people 'wtf'-ing at Andie by now, Natasha doesn't think she needs to join in on that right now and will let those already there take care of that issue while she continues to try to take care of the issue of Guard #1 by shooting right back at him again (attack 19; damage 13). After firing the weapon, however, she takes a chance to do some yelling herself:]

Andie's run prompts Guard #1 and #2's attention to fly quickly over to the Doctor. Thanks, Andie. Leveling his gun at the Time Lord, Guard #1 fire off a shot (atk 12), but misses only barely. The bullets go straight through the wooden door beside him. Listen of 18 or higher can catch the plink sound of glass. ]

Hey! You can't go back there!

[ Guard #2 keeps his attention on David, taking advantage of his guard being down to … fail miserably (atk 10). ]

As Loki teleports away again, out of hte range of that 79 damage what the fuck, Thor.

He can't tell Thor. He can't simply say it, be it because that's the role he has always filled and eventually he began to buy into his own lie, or because admitting it would be admitting weakness that Asgardian culture simply will not accept. A part of him, visibly, wishes that he could, but the flicker of genuine distress lasts for only a moment before he decides to

lunge at thor with his icicle dagger (atk nat 20, 30 dmg). ]

[alex drops the knife, switches to his gun (haha quick draw bitchez) and fires a shot at guard 1. it uh ... goes wide. (ranged atk 9) fucking whoopsies.]

[Why don't you all get this? She doesn't move, but she looks ready to attack if the Doctor makes another move for the cup (...readied attack...).]

[ The Doctor doesn't move, because he's not really interested in getting attacked. Again. But he does keep his eyes on Andie. ]

[Yeah, David was nowhere close to hearing that glass. Too far away (listen 6). Besides, he's more preoccupied with Guard #2 who is still attacking him, even if he is missing. He turns back and slashes down hard (attack 25, damage 10).]

[Natasha also did not hear the sound of that glass at all (listen 3). And no, she's not giving up on trying to do anything but deal with Guard #1, so ... firing yet another shot at him it is. (attack 20; damage 11).]

[ Natasha's bullet grazes straight past Guard #1, and he tries to fire a return shot, jamming his gun in the process.

Meanwhile, Guard #2 staggers under the blow from David, and rallies to return the hit, missing by a wide margin as he slashes his dagger straight past the viking, about a foot off. ]

[ you know what, thor has had it up to here with these motherfucking ice daggers in his motherfucking back. so he's going to make a disarm check, which will provoke an attack of opportunity, but he still gets to make it whether that succeeds or not. opposed attack rolls! his was a 30 but he's going to spend a surge point, to make it a... 31, wow such surge. and if he's successful in knocking loki's weapon out of his hand, he'll spend another mythic point to use amazing initiative and take another standard action - to smash the dagger with his hammer, where it lies on the ground (atk 35, dmg ... 37). ]

[ His attack of opportunity hits, and he manages to jab his dagger forward before Thor gets in close enough to attempt a disarm (atk 23, dmg 14 with penetration??? + 6 cold damage). It buries deep between the plates of his armor, in his ribs.

Thor manages to successfully grip his hammer around Loki's arm, and a twist of it draws Loki in nearer, wrenching his tight grip loose after a moment of struggle (opposed 31). As Thor slams his hammer down against the dropped weapon, it shatters and scatters across the floor.

Out of options, he raises a hand and plants a palm over one of the plates of Thor's armor. Electricity crackles forward from his fingertips and magnetizes to the plates of Thor's armor and his hammer, shocking him (atk 22, dmg 20). Just for an extra fuck you of using his own element against him. That's what you get for taking Loki's cold magic. ]

[alex takes another shot at guard 1, much more successfully this time. (atk 23, 5 dmg) he'll ... worry about andie's psychotic break later. maybe in 5 minutes. ]

[ With a sense motive of 11 he believes that well enough, but that isn't going to stop him from going in the room. ]

I won't, okay. But I need to find it. You know that, don't you? We need to find it. Look what's happening here, Andie.

[ So on that, he opens the door and pushes it open to head inside. ]

[Since the Doctor seems to have Andie covered for now, David's going to focus on Guard #2, the one who won't go unconscious. Though he's looking like he's on his last legs, so hopefully one more slash should do it (attack 22, damage 17).]

[Well, she sure does keep missing. Maybe her problem is distance and she should try getting closer? So she will. Taking a few steps forward, she shoots again at Guard #1 (attack 17; damage 12).]

[ Guard 2 goes down, split open by David's final slash. There's no mistaking it: he's dead. As his body slumps to the ground, Alex's bullet catches in Guard 1's arm, and he dodges out of the way easily of Natasha's. He has to spend a turn clearing his gun. ]
