The Knights take off for Katoomba, Australia, to investigate a tale of a temple to the goddess of magic Mystra that was erected very suddenly and mysteriously, seemingly unknown to other Mystran clergy in the world.  A bizarre tale of a cleric being chased out with gunfire, and a missing bookseller with a connection to the church have left Wynn worried about what might be going on within the walls of the temple.  It is constructed a short distance from the actual city proper, up the river.

Yes, it's this incredible device that — [ sorry adi her wisdom check of 8 means it doesn't occur to her that if he knows the name he probably knows how it works. she leans across the aisle a bit. ] Well, that does a bit of everything. You can access your bank, your messages, take photographs, even play games. [ like candy crush which is now being pulled up as she hands it to him. ] Here, have a go.

[ Wow very helpful. He just grins at the enthusiastic response, though it takes him a second to actually accept the device and...... computer use 6 means he doesn't manage to destroy it instantly, but fuck if he knows what to do with candy crush. ]

[ Don't teach him how to play candy crush, girl, you won't get this thing back the entire flight. ]

Oh, it's just — [ She reaches over, dragging her finger from one candy to an adjacent one to swap them and create a match. ] You exchange them. It'll give instructions, and you tap the screen.

[ Touch screens aren't totally beyond him, at least, so once she gives him a preview of the rules he follows suit. He's still watching the screen (or looking for more matches, lbr) and occasionally tapping the screen when he speaks up again. ] So which one came first— the iPad or the sword?

[ He'd guess the sword, if pressed, but she could just as easily be from here and prefer swords. Worth asking. ]

[ That makes her chuckle. Only people from Faerun (and Aedan) look at her and see her as adjusted ok it's kawaii. ]

The sword. I'm afraid the technology of this world is something I'm still familiarizing myself with, though the members of the Dragon's Hoard are often quite eager to help us adapt.

[ He looks up from the iPad at that, giving her a curious look. ] Faerun?

[ a soft smile. she shakes her head. ]

Tortall. Not too terribly different, from what I understand.

[mining]

[ He used to think Faerun was special. So much for that idea. ]

How long have you been with the knights?

[ This is casual conversation instead of prying, right?? Probably. Also note to self, ask how long Jaime's been here and compare/contrast. ]

[trebond]

North of two years by now, I reckon. [ She leans back in her seat, ruminating on it. ] And a knight of Tortall before that. [ She looks to him. ] And what of you in Faerun?

[mining]

Cleric. [ Similarly thoughtful, and after a pause he offers a slightly chagrined smile. ] Or so I'd assume. My recollection's a bit hazy.

[ It's meant as a joke. He remembers the cleric part easily enough; it's just hazy beyond that. ]

An all-too-common ailment, as I hear it. I remember quite enough to not know what it is I'm missing—though I do have some scars I can't account for, so some time must have been lost when I crossed over.

[ She doesn't look too worked up about it, tho. Chill as fuck. ]
