The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ she's rightly charmed by his gentlemanly request, taking his proffered hand with a nod ] Of course.

[ she allows him to lead her to the dance floor, falling easily into step with his lead (dance nat 20?? 34 total) ] I'm Francesca. [ she raises an eyebrow as if to ask 'and you are?' ]

[His moves isn't as bright as her graceful moves, but with her help, they dazzles the dance floor (dance 17).] I'm Brantley. Brantley River. At your service, milady. [He nods as he signs his offer with another one of his smiles.]

I currently have no use for your service, nor such formality, so please, call me Francesca. [ she returns his smile as they glide along ] Have you been with the Knights long?

Exactly a year, today, actually. So, today is kind of anniversary to me. [It marks the day his face hit the red carpet while wearing a knight armor. But he isn't going to tell her that.] Exactly a year ago was the day I became a heroic knight in shining armor. Though I haven't had much chance to actually act as one.

[ she chuckles lightly at his description of their job ] You haven't been on any missions yet?

I have, only once though, and I kind of messed it up. So, that is probably why I haven't been on another mission yet. Either that or my skill set is just not that usable for the Knighthood.

I'm certain it's the ladder. I can't imagine you messed up too terribly if you're still standing here with all your limbs and vital organs. [ she smirks, clearly teasing ]

Not too terrible, I guess. But let's just say someone else is definitely not standing with his limbs and organs. [He jokingly cringes as he rolls his eyes side-way.] But, at least, the other guy is still standing and currently dancing with one of the most captivating lady he ever met. So, definitely not that bad, right? [He smirks playfully.]

Not that bad? [ as she feigns offense ] I'd say you've been downright blessed.

Oh... Yes, sorry. You are absolutely right. [He smiles as he follows the flow.] Blessed and privileged would be a better choice of words, in this case. Not everyday you can meet someone with such a captivating charm. But you have to admit the fault is partially yours. Everyone would be baffled seeing such glamour. [His eyes glower at her with indignation, but his lip shows a friendly intention with a charming smile (charm 24)]
