The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

I meant what sect, you don't exactly look like Hide material and superhero sort of screams HIDE in neon lights and glitter text.

[ she shrugs. ] Probably. It's a theme. Dragon's Fire is the magic. [ her nose automatically wrinkles. ] Dragon's Mind is psions, Light is the clerics and cute ginger medics. Um, Hoard is the nerds. Claws are Wynn's two right hand men. And the Dragon's Tongue are the... [ best. ] Well they're the ones that talk everyone else out of trouble.

[ cordy flashes a smile at that one ] Sounds like my kind of people.

I mean, minus the kinda slutty sounding name.

Seeing as the head of the sect is a giant gold dragon? [ ignoring the half part. ] It doesn't seem that slutty when you get used to it.

[ it takes her a second to find him in the sea of people because she is teeny, but eventually... (spot 15) she uses her glass to point him out. ] Big, gold, that would be him. Not Wynn's giant, possibly over compensatory glass dragon, de facto stone for the sword, but Koraith is definitely a dragon. Half. And before you ask, no, I don't know how.

Halloween must get really confusing around here.

[ she shrugs. ] I'm not really a big Halloween fan, that's Astrid's thing.

Yes. My dog's favorite holiday is Halloween. [ srsly cordelia. ] She's a medic. So, you know, try not to call her a dog to her face if you don't want to die in the field.

What, they don't have like, real hospitals in this world?

You realize you joined a knighthood that goes on dangerous missions, like, on the daily, right? They send medics and clerics with the teams because someone might get shot in the face. Did you not get that before you signed up? [ like... are you a dumbass???? ]

Miss Superhero who signed me up wasn't exactly big on explaining the medical benefits. Back where I come from, if some big supernatural nasty works you over, you still go to the hospital, like a normal person.

You can go to a hospital. It's gonna have clerics.

Personally, I'm hoping to avoid any life-threatening injuries anytime soon, anyway.

In that case, steer clear of Deadpool.
