The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

[ Yeah it's not great and she's not really trying so hard to make it look like it was great either. It's not really the sort of thing she can fake. ]

[ She doesn't answer at first. Takes a moment, but then just nods. ]

[ she hums conversationally, looking expectant. are you gonna elaborate? ]

[ GOD THE PRESSURE. Only not. Which is probably the only reason she will elaborate. ]

Well I can sort of see through people's eyes. Like watch where they're going and what they're doing, you know.

Yeah a bit less... well, awkward around my Mum. [ That and it was pretty crap never to be able to be touched. ]

[ lila lifts her gloved hand, wiggles her fingers. ] I get it. [ not to that extreme, of course, but it's been almost two years since she stumbled into this world and she still isn't used to going gloveless. she still gets stupidly giddy about holding sylar's hand. she feels you, alisha. she feels u. ]
