The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ lila immediately moves forward and rifles through the racks until she finds a dress she deems acceptable. cute, flirty, fun, modest without being matronly. a good color for willow's pale ginger features. she holds it up. and with lila's +18 disguise mod... ITS A REALLY GREAT CHOICE. ] Here, put this on. And stay away from pastels.

No, I meant- [But oh that dress is kind of cute. Willow takes it and heads for the changing area.] I meant with the knight stuff. Not just the dresses.

Oh. Depends. Who is your mentor? [ she lolls around on a little sofa dramatically. ]

Jeanne Gar? [She pokes her head out from the changing area to try to see the immediate reaction.] She seems nice...

[ the reaction is a shrug. ] She's cool. Kind of busy all the time.

That's fine! I don't really need a lot. She showed me where the library is. I sort of... Don't remember the rest of the castle, though.

[THE LIBRARY IS SO COOL OKAY. She looks a little sheepish with the admission.]

The library and the kitchen are really the only important ones.

For late night research snacks! [At that moment, she pulls back the curtain to reveal herself in the dress Lila picked out and wow it was a great choice because she nat 20'd her disguise check, so she didn't put it on backwards or anything.]

[ lila's mouth drops open. she knew she was good, but damn son. ] Holy shit, you look...

[ like lila is a flawless rockstar with the superpower is making people look hella fab at the drop of a hat. ]

You look great. You should wear this next month, too. It looks perfect on you.

[ and the party's been going for a while, she doesn't want her mastedrpiece to go unnoticed. lila zacharov: master at making it about her. ]

Really? [She looks down at the fabric, pulling the skirt of the dress out in front of her slightly. Turning towards a mirror, her smile falters as she just stares.]

That's..? That's me?

[ pushing herself up from the settee, she crosses the floor and stands behind willow, reaching around the actual stranger like lol what is personal space, and delicately ties the ribbon at her throat. ] Signs point to yes.

[Willow's too engrossed by her own reflection to notice Lila come up behind her. She jumps slightly as the girl reaches around to tie the ribbon. There's a small flutter in her stomach, accompanied by a faint blush across her cheeks. Baby's first girl crush.]

Thanks. [She manages after a few seconds, only keeping eye contact in the mirror for fleeting moments before she looks away, bashful.] For helping me.

[ lila just knows the effect she has on people and aggressively takes advantage of it at every avenue. see: aurelius. (sense motive 35) she caught that blush and she is going to run with it, palm flattening against willow's chest for a brief second as she leans forward to murmur in her ear, always husky voice low and dripping with the honeyed promise of something as her lips curve into a wicked smile in the mirror. ] My pleasure, starshine.

[Oh gosh. Willow's mouth hangs partly open, breath coming a little heavier. She doesn't really know what's happening. She's got to be imagining that tone. And if she is, she's not sure just why she would be imagining that.

It's a very confusing time to be Willow.]

[ yes. good. this is how lila likes it. her hand lifts to smooth down the ribbon again before she steps away. ] Enjoy your party. [ wink. ] Later 'gator.

[ she turns with a whirlwind of blonde curls and the heady scent of her perfume, traipsing out with the click of her heels. ]
