[ It seems that Wynn was hoping for Sir Mark Sandazhard to reveal his true identity, and to lead the charge against Dimitris Sarandis' tyrannical hold over the island he was born to rule.   He was not disappointed, and Prince Marcus Andres stands poised to lead the group of Knights who he's worked beside for two years, to confront Sarandis, save their friend Kat, and search the castle dungeon for the captive Dragon's Claw, Sir Thomas Bancroft.    

Before they attempt to answer the castle, however, it's time to reunite the Prince with his childhood friends on the Isle, who had long held out hope that he was still alive, including his once-betrothed, Countess Lara Tamon.  Their first task will be to convince Lara to make a risky attempt to draw Kat out of the castle.  

The fate of their captured allies, and the future of Andres Isle, lie in their hands.  ]

I know. [he nods, stopping his trident-polishing to look up at her.] Do you still want to, after all of this? After Andres?

[witchwoman]

I do.

[She ducks her gaze a little, like it's some secret, using those words in this context.]

Do you?

[he just smiles.] Of course.

[witchwoman]

Good. After we get back, we can sort out the details. I desperately want to do something that's just...calm.

[wedding planning is not calm but myri doesn't know that. Oh well. She'll learn!]

Planning a wedding doesn't seem very calm ... but then, I guess most anything would be, compared to war.

[witchwoman]

Isn't it? Vi made it seem so easy... [Basing this off the most laid back bride in the entire world who didn't even want to reveal she was engaged until right before the damn thing was happening is... probably not the best measuring stick, ha.]

I'm sure we could manage it.

Vi hardly planned anything. [he loves her but lbr.] And we've already talked about some things, haven't we? Like getting married on the beach.

[witchwoman]

[She nods, smiling a bit more just at the though of it.] Right by the water. [Her voice lowers slightly, like she's telling him a secret.]

We could surprise everyone and just go dive straight into the ocean after we say our vows.

[Distraction, imagining a time when all the fighting is over. It's a coping mechanism and it only works for as long as they keep talking, but it works. That's all that matters.]

[his face lights up at the idea as he laughs.] Why would we do that?

[witchwoman]

Why not? [She says immediately, as if that's all the answer she needs.]

You always look at home in the water, like you've missed it for all the time you were away. Maybe I just want to have that with you right at that moment.

I'm not saying we couldn't, I just ... wasn't expecting it.

[witchwoman]

What were you expecting, then? [She's tossed a few random suggestions out that seem to all surprise him so maybe he has a different idea of what this would look like?]

I don't know. It's not like I've ever been married before.

[witchwoman]

Not that you remember. [She says, almost like teasing.]

You're quite handsome, you know.

[She realizes that perhaps this is a strange thing to joke about. Trying to overcompensate for all the terrible war feelings sort of backfired.]

You must have imagined it- even if it wasn't with me.

I don't know. I guess I just imagined something simple. Maybe that's why planning the wedding never fall into the hands of the groom.

[witchwoman]

Maybe. I don't mind simple, though. I just want it to be perfect.

[65]

I'll leave it to you.

[witchwoman]

Are you close to finished with that? [She gestures to the trident. Which is her way of asking if she can come get some cuddle time before the plane lands and everything is terrible.]

Huh? Oh, sure. [he moves the trident to ... the seat behind him. good thing no one's sitting there!! now come give daddy some sugar. wow i felt weird typing that pretend it didn't happen ]

[witchwoman]

[Moving around from the seats in front of him, Myri slips into the seat his weapon previously occupied and curls in towards him. Stretching her smaller frame, she pushes up to kiss him softly. So there's your sugar, daddy. Yeah, you're right that does feel weird.]

I love you. [She says quietly, like she has to get that out one last time before all this shit goes down.]

I love you, too. [he kisses her back, arms sliding around her. much kisses.]

[Airplane seats aren't the easiest to cuddle up in, but Myri is determined right now. There's more she wants to say, but she doesn't want to get either of them too emotional before they land. And she doesn't want to treat this like the end of anything. They're going to come home. Together.]

[they will. EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE FINE. how difficult can war be????? not fucking very, i guess. so he cuddles with her until she feels like going to be a social butterfly somewhere else on the plane. tru luv.]
