[ It seems that Wynn was hoping for Sir Mark Sandazhard to reveal his true identity, and to lead the charge against Dimitris Sarandis' tyrannical hold over the island he was born to rule.   He was not disappointed, and Prince Marcus Andres stands poised to lead the group of Knights who he's worked beside for two years, to confront Sarandis, save their friend Kat, and search the castle dungeon for the captive Dragon's Claw, Sir Thomas Bancroft.    

Before they attempt to answer the castle, however, it's time to reunite the Prince with his childhood friends on the Isle, who had long held out hope that he was still alive, including his once-betrothed, Countess Lara Tamon.  Their first task will be to convince Lara to make a risky attempt to draw Kat out of the castle.  

The fate of their captured allies, and the future of Andres Isle, lie in their hands.  ]

[ he does finally stop... but only because he sees something - or someone - coming through the trees. ] Myri!

[Yep, here they come! Myri and her new gf come strolling through the woods. At the sound of Mark's greeting, she raises her hand to acknowledge it and while they're still apart from the group, she leans towards Lara.]

That's him. Mark, or... Marcus, as you know him.

[ lara stops dead in her tracks as well, staring at him across the short distance of the clearing, and she manages to say quietly: ] I-- I know. I'd ... [ she smiles slowly, looking almost dazed ] I'd recognize him anywhere. [ she slowly steps forward, as mark watches her approach, his own eyebrows climbing up a bit as he looks her over, both recognizing her and finding her a lot different than she was when she was... sixteen, ok. he starts towards her as well, and they meet about halfway, coming to a halt from one another a few paces away. lara looks him up and down as well, and then a teary laugh breaks out of her. ] Marcus.

[ yeah he sort of gapes like a fish, give him a second ] L-Lara.

[ oh right, princely... guy or something, AHEM. ] ... Surprise?

[nothingsodivine]

[Des slow blinks like he's in a jenna marbles vid and then

facepalms]

[affianced]

[ w/e she finds it charming ok. ] You-- [ she lets out a breathy laugh again, shaking her head ] Wow. I mean, you look so-- [ she gestures at him, as if that will explain ] I can't believe you're standing here, after all these years...

Michael and Dana and I -- we couldn't accept anything else. That you were really gone.

And Percy? He-- [ he trails off there, a sad question in his eyes. ]

[affianced]

He gave his life defending that belief. That what was done to you and your family-- that what we were all supposed to accept-- that it could never be true.

You would have been so proud of him, Marcus. He was stronger than all of us.

Hey. [ he steps forward, puts a hand on her shoulder, and then she collapses against him in a sudden hug that seems to surprise him, but he responds in kind ] I can't imagine what it's been like here. But I do know that the fact that you're standing here now says you were all strong, when you had every reason to give up hoping.

[bigbad]

As touching as this all is... We still have a battle to fight. His royal Markliness still may die horribly before the night's over. [So can we get a move on things?]

[witchwoman]

[Myri frowns at Spike. THEY'RE ALLOWED A MOMENT TO HAVE A REUNION. Someone get him a heart to go along with that soul.]

Lara's agreed to go to the castle, to draw Kat away from Sarandis.

[Myri says it with a great deal of pride. So pleased with her Andresian revolutionary girlfriend.]

[ mark draws away, and pulls out an extra drakenet phone, handing to lara ] Communications on the island are gonna be down pretty soon. We're going to poised to enter the castle - we've got a way in.

And whatever you do, don't let Kat figure out what's going on. We don't know how deep this mind-whammy goes.

[ There's a good chance she'd sabotage it for her ~one true love~ ok. ]

I'll make it seem like a social call. It only makes sense that a noblewoman would be interested in introducing herself to ... well. Someone Dimitris had such an interest in. [ she glances back at mark and myri ] Please... be careful yourselves. [ with that, she'll turn to head back the way she came from ]

[Des exhales and runs a hand through his hair.]

We should probably get a move on.
