The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Oh, they may not look like much, but they'll certainly surprise you. [He glances around at the other knights, milling about.] Do you know which of these charming individuals is going to be mentoring you?

[He holds up a hand, because... what?]

I imagine Wynn has many uses for a Knight who's hard of hearing. [ she points across the room. to mary margaret. ] Snow. White.

Her name [Gold says it with a slight bit of panic in his tone as his gaze falls on the woman Regina indicates] is Mary Margaret Blanchard.

[He isn't convinced anymore. Mary Margaret doesn't lie and Wynn wouldn't play this sort of joke on him. For a horrifying moment, he can't even look at the woman he's been talking to, afraid he's going to look past her and suddenly wake up.] And you don't know her at all?

Of course I do. She's the one who brought me here. Which means I know fully well what her name is. I've heard Wynn call her it to her face.

Just the fact that they we all know one another... and don't seem to know each other at all. [He turns his head, forcing a smirk.] The Veil's funny that way, isn't it?

The gods, if anyone. Precisely why I don't tend to bother with religion any more than I have to.

This seems more like the work to me of someone with very powerful magic.

Who on earth would have the sort of magic to bring people across the Veil and alter memories?
