after-party ♔ october

♬ Jeux d'eau - Ravel
WHO || Wynn, any and all Knights not currently on missions (if you are uncertain if your character would be at the castle for this, ask!)ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.
WHAT || Squiring Ceremony Afterparty
WHERE || Knights Headquarters, the Ballroom
WHEN || October 1st, 2014, 6:00PM [backdated]
HOW || Prose OR Actionspam
The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).
The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.
Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.
Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

[Her expression is pleasant enough, though she doesn't hide the fact that she's surprised to see him.]
This party does kind of feel like a big reunion, doesn't it?
no subject
It does, indeed. [a moment's pause.] It's a shame Mr. Nolan can't be here.
no subject
Why would you do this, Gold?]
David...[The name catches in her throat, followed by another.] ...Charming's here?

You didn't hear? [whoops. he assumes... someone would have told her that...] He had a rather unfortunate encounter in Bermuda with a Homo Magi's love curse. Wynn felt it was in his best interest to send him away until the problem was resolved.
[at least he didn't say "the bastard failed his will save and nolaned it up again."]
no subject
A love curse?
[Was someone in love with him or was he in love with them. IMPORTANT DISTINCTION OKAY.]
no subject
[He's pretty bad at this, Snow.]
no subject
[Moving on because that's the more important part. She wants to see him, obviously.]
no subject
[At least he didn't say he was EXILED.]
no subject
Sorry Rumple.]
I'll make sure to do that once he's not so...preoccupied.

[Re:Andres.]

[Her evil queen crazy self state...]

[Just...throwing that out there.]
It's not as bad as you think, Mr. Gold. She barely remembers anything, as far as I can tell. And it's not really all that much more startling than finding you here.
[Ahahaha...haaaa]

Exactly how much do you remember...?

[He's learning to hate that question and what hides behind it.] I realize this isn't the sort of place one finds a pawnbroker, but it did seem like a fine idea at the time. And so far I haven't been the worst for it.
no subject
It's more than Regina remembers, but lacking certain memories can only be good for them. She hates to lie, but she hates the idea of uprooting what is probably a much more satisfying life worse.
Still, it's probably going to become complicated either way when someone starts throwing around her...other name.]
Neither of you were all that well liked at times. I can't imagine you've forgotten that, if you know the rest.

[losing all the metaphorical power
gaining all the magic ever.
yeah.]
no subject
[It might be a little optimistic, but she is Snow White.]
no subject
Why does she think she's royalty?
no subject
It's....complicated. And probably not the best discussion to be having right now.
[AVOIDS?]
no subject
A problem for her mentor, I'm sure.
no subject
Exactly!
no subject
little does he know...]
Have you spoken to Emma yet? She seemed quite surprised to see you at the ceremony. That's to be expected, however... We were in Germany for months. You tend to miss things.
