The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ regina. pls. you can't use nightmare fodder against a girl who controls nightmares. come now. don't be fresh. with a flawless will save of 27, lila's shoulders shiver a little at the sensation of all those tiny little legs, but she just lifts her hand to let the spiders crawl across her fingers before shaking them on to the floor. be free little guys. she was a cat. she used to eat spiders, okay. she had fleas once. bring it.

and then she leans forward to delicately pluck a piece of flimsy, shiny shrimp tale from the fancy embroidery on regina's dress. she flicks it on to the ground with the spiders. ]

I've no idea what you mean. [ no rly snow didn't tell her about sects yet ]

Allow me to explain. There's a few sects, each has it's own specialty. Dragon's Fire -- [ she flicks her hand and one of the doors across the room slams shut. sry wynn. ] -- specializes in magic. There is a subsect for psions called the Dragon's Mind. Then there is the Dragon's Light, for clerics and doctors, the Dragon's Hide for the people whose sole purpose is to hit things, Dragon's Hoard seems to be specific to nerds, and the Dragon's Tongue, for the people who can do magic with words instead of a snap of their fingers. [ ofc she snaps her fingers. ]

[ you know who knows a lot about fairytales? lila. captain hook is one thing, okay. snow white it another entirely because lila is a girl and when she read fairytales or told them to herself when she was a cat so she would remember she was a girl, she tended to focus on the princesses. ]
