The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Honestly, he doesn't even know if he can actually get drunk anyway. The last time he tried it, Scott told him it wasn't possible but it sure as hell felt like he had been drunk.]

Right, cause the people haven't offered to give you a place to crash, training to kick serious ass - probably sort out your werewolf shit - and you might as well just flip the middle finger at them as you try to pickle your liver.

[She shrugs and hands it back to him.]

Like, there is nothing he can even say to counter her arguments because she was making too much sense rn. It probably wasn't the most respectful thing in the world to waltz in here and try and get drunk just because when he'd been given the opportunity to be part of something.

Even if he was just trying to have fun at a party, the fact that he was sneaking around (well, trying to) probably didn't reflect well. But he's also still a kid so like while all of this rings true for the moment he still didn't see like any real harm in it.

[She glances to him, still holding onto his drink - which she isn't even gonna touch. Who knows what he decided to mix for himself.] Look, I'm not the first person to sign up for group sing-a-longs or agree that people twice my age know what's best for me.

Just know that I'm not gonna do anything to screw you over. [She laughs a bit.] Because I am not about to be like the people that I never liked.

[Faith's eyebrows raise as she makes a face.] No... not a fairy. Back home it's called a Slayer. Enhanced strength, speed, healing -- the whole package so that I can go up against the things that go bump in the night.

[Faith glances to him and shrugs.] It's on the list, but I've never been big on rules. See - Slayers had these mentors, but they weren't looking out for the Slayers, they were lookin' out for their own asses. Anything they didn't trust, didn't think could be safe about their actions - they wanted targeted.

Vampires, werewolves - anything that could be dangerous.

[Faith takes a breath.] I've met a werewolf, before the ones here, and he was pretty cool. In a band. I also helped rescue a werewolf here - Cora. So as long as you're not ripping people to shreds, we'll be five by five.
