The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Her brows furrow in confusion.]

David does not seem to have retained many memories of his past life. As I said, I was unaware of the connection between the two of you, and I believe he was as well.

While he attempted to resist Amara's... advances initially, temptation, it would seem, got the better of him. [ it's clear that he's doing his damndest to say this diplomatically.

[Snow seems to freeze in place, as if she's gone numb to everything around her.]

What?

[And then she looks aghast, almost offended.]

Y-you must be mistaken. He wouldn't do something like that.

I'm afraid not, Sir White. It's one reason he also agreed that it was best for him to be removed from the situation.

[The fact that she's hurt and basically stricken is obvious. The only thing that even remotely softens this blow is that he doesn't remember her.

But that's horrible in and of itself, because she knows that if he did, this wouldn't have happened. She has to believe that.]

I...need to go.

[She can't stay here, talking to him, even being in this ballroom isn't happening right now.]

I just need a minute.

[She'll come back. She has a squire she has to attend to. But right now? She literally cannot.]

I'm sorry. [ it's said quietly, meant to excuse her, accept her need to go. ]
