The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Just a fair warnings. She's not an easy person to be around right now. She's volatile, mildly depressing, stubborn as hell, and all around exhausting.

But if he keeps this up he might eventually break through the shell she's been building around herself over the past half year or so.

He has warring sides. He wants to help her, to soften her down again, but he also wants her to - well, to be happy. And she doesn't seem that happy, does she? ]

So, what do people do here for birthdays? Do we just pick a day and say, get me extravagant gifts? [ ENOUGH OF THE CUTE FLIRTY CHARGED SHIT. ]

Actually, I remembered that one. I turned 20 in June.

But yeah, I think some people have done that. Picked a month that sounded right. Or you could just throw a dart at a calendar and see where it lands.

[She has to wonder just how old, but it's another one of those things that doesn't really matter. Old seems to be relative in the people she knows. Or knew, as the case may be.

But, to answer your question, I'd say about 28. Considering you bothered to have me guess, I'd say you're probably older than that. Maybe quite a bit older than that.
