The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Brantley River, milady. At your service. [He bows a bit like he is a prince with that lives in a fairy-tale castle made of diamonds. Well, technically, he is living in a castle. But no, not a prince or even royal dog walker. At least, his manner is pretty much the same.]

Well, now. There's an appropriate means of addressing a Queen.

[Well, that's the way he addresses most women. Brantley takes a moment to process that. He is not sure whether she is joking or not. Is it possible for a queen to be in a castle? Probably, this place even has a prince who soon to be a king, so why not a Queen. With a smile still on his face, he subtly asks her about it while trying to detect if she is joking or not. (sense motive 22)]

May I ask where are you from, my Queen? I am not well-versed in the area of political monarchy.

[The only living queen he knows is Queen Elizabeth.]

It's called the Enchanted Forest, but it's a land many here seem entirely ignorant of.

[Is that even a real place? Brantley doesn't really follow geography, but he knows enough that it is not a place from this world. At least the world as he knows (int 17).]

Well, this place is full of immigrants. Plenty of them must have came from the land where you rule. They just don't remember it. The veils loves to play with memories after all. I am sure they will remember it one day. It should not be that hard to remember a place that was named after its Queen.

[He smiles at her reaction.] I think he does. At least, that is one of the reasons. I'm sure I have more qualities that he has yet to find.

No doubt. [ her predatory smile has just enough vinegar in it to make it hard to tell what she really means. or thinks. ] And what might those be?

I'm afraid they are a bit private to say in public. [He grins back at her.] And they are a bit harder to describe than to be shown. But for you, my fair highness, I definitely wouldn't mind showing a trick or two. [He smiles with a hint of flirtatious intention(charm 22).]
