The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Andrew works. Hopefully that's because of good news?

Best news, actually. [He turns to the crowd and points out Bo across the way.] See her? Swear to god I'm not lying, but... Totally my wife.

[He's such a girl about telling... everyone ever.]

[He follows the way he points, and it's...pretty obvious when he catches sight of her because his eyes widen quite a bit.

Oh, wow. [He grins, looks back at him, impressed.] You're a lucky man.

Don't I know it. Oh, and if she flirts with you, don't worry about it. Just how she is.

[He lets out a single laugh, because it's funny, okay?]

Looks like you're both lucky, then.

[That takes some serious trust. Also, a few weeks from now, he'll completely understand.]

Yeah? Maybe so. [Which is saying something, because back at the start, he would have just scoffed at the idea of Bo being lucky at all in this scenario. Actual self esteem?? What???]

[Andrew nods] The night before all the Andres stuff, yeah. We got the news from Wynn and were talking about it and...

[He shrugs with a little embarrassed smile.]

So you eloped?

[He chuckles.]

Well, that's one way to do it. Takes some of the pressure off, right?

Wouldn't really know. I mean we were basically doing it in case either of us died on Andres, so I'm not sure I'd call it a no-pressure situation. But yeah. It's easier now. Just going to throw a party once things settle down enough. Let family and friends get drunk and maybe buy us stuff.

I mean, I don't know much about weddings,-

I just meant like...the pressure of figuring out who to invite, things like flower arrangements, what freaking napkins you want. I'd rather go head to head with another Hydra than have to plan all that out without a hitch.

Yeah, I guess that's true. I mean we'll still have some of that bullshit to deal with to throw a party for it once things are more settled. But even that will be pretty low key, I think.

[He nods in understanding.]

Well, congrats again, man. That's really awesome.

Thanks. So uh- I'll let you get back to your party. I should go find my wife. [he taps Sam on the shoulder and lumbers away.]
