The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[She gives a lazy shrug of one shoulder.]

A glass or two.

[ okay, not completely hammered then, that's something. ]

You know, I think you're getting me mistaken. I'm a nice boy.

I'm going to call bullshit on that one. [She just has a feeling you're trouble. But she likes trouble.]

Okay okay, you've got me. But I try to be nice, that counts, right?

[ He smirks again, and there's that little voice that tells him to stop because don't flirt. Don't do that. ]

[That voice is something you shouldn't listen to, Matt. Faye steps closer to put a hand lightly on his arm.]

You don't have to be all that nice with me. I prefer to know the real you.

[The real him. The naked him. Same thing.]

[ She's not backwards about coming forwards, and Matt likes that. He likes a woman that knows what she wants. ]

And what about you? You nice?

[ Despite telling himself not to, he finds himself bringing his hand out and setting it lightly on her hip. Bad Matt. ]

Mmm, no. Not really. But I've never had any complaints about being a little wicked.

[This is not going to help her case about pretending to have a boyfriend so she can keep a genie enslaved. Oh well. This new guy is hot.]

Oh you're a real little firecracker, aren't ya? [ Said in the most Irish of Irishes you've ever heard in ur lyfe ]

So what are you drinking?

Vodka cranberry. [Because it's just the most stereotypical young girl drink you can ever find tbh.]

You?

[ He doesn't answer her question, but does smirk at her a bit. ]

How about I get you a refill?

Sure. [She hands him her empty glass to trade out for a new one.] Then we can take a walk and you can tell me more about just how good or bad you really are.

[ He takes the glass and shoots her a smile. ] Don't you go anywhere. [ And then he goes off and comes back really quickly because we do not need to tag him going to a bar and coming back again. He offers her out the drink, and it seems he's got himself one of the same. ]

Thought I'd see what all the fuss is about.

Hm is there fuss? Well, I hope we live up to the hype. [she takes her drink and gestures for him to follow her so they can go walk around the courtyard.]

[ He finds himself laughing again. Oh she's really got a bit of fire in her belly, hasn't she? He likes that though. Reminds him of a few of the girls from back home.

He walks with her, out into the -frankly bloody cold- evening air. ]

So how long you been around here?

A couple years now. [She doesn't really keep track. At least a year.] Long enough to know the ropes.

[ A slow smile starts to spread across his face. ]

Yeah? Well hows about you show me.

[Without saying a word, she just leads the way to take him into the hall of the castle, with every intent to head towards her room. She'll give an extra sway of her hips just to make the view that much nicer.]

[ Matt doesn't have any qualms about heading with her, and will gladly walk all the way to her room, stopping only when they reach the door, leaning a little against the wall beside it. ]

So this is you then?

[Opening the door, the room that Faye was assigned may not be exactly what you would expect from the little witch. She steps inside and steps to one side, arching her eyebrow at him.]

No, I just brought you to a random room.

[Which is... exactly what she did about two years ago, but no. It's her room.]

[ Matt strolls in behind her, hands in his pockets, and he whistles as he sees the surroundings. ]

Okay who's dick did you have to suck to get this place?

[She just arches one eyebrow like 'excuse you' as she closes the door.]

I'm guessing you haven't seen your room yet. Most of them are pretty nice. But maybe I'm just Wynn's favorite.

Yeah, well maybe you are. Especially if you invited him back here too.

[ He's teasing her though, even if he's sort of suggesting she's a bit of a serial offender. ]

So you've got me here. What you gonna do with me now?

Do with you? You make it sound like I've got some diabolical plan in the mix. [Her mouth curves into a smile.] Or maybe that's you. Have something you'd like to do, Matt?

What you haven't? I'm disappointed. [ He laughs a bit, and steps over to her ]. Oh I can think of a few things. That's if you're in the mood.

[Even if she's young, Faye doesn't always look it. Part of it is the confidence, part of it is her height- just two inches shy of six feet tall. She steps towards him as he moves in towards her.]

I'm open to suggestions. [Her expression says it all. She's definitely in the mood.]
