[ A few weeks into October, Wynn sends a message back to the castle asking Snow and Regina to make their way to the Isle, saying he has a small matter that bears investigation.  When they arrive at the castle, they're ushered by Woodhouse to a small parlor where he's waiting...  And moments later, their other mission partner arrives. :D ]

[Snow frowns. That isn't much to go on, though tall and male is at least a start.]

Did you happen to see his face? What did he look like?

[ General anxious interest in the girl's answer yo. ]

[ "I--I--" the little girl's eyes widen, and then she looks guilty that she can't supply more and lowers her head, shaking it no ] How informative.

Hey! She's just a kid.

[ Said sharply, to Regina. Dropping her scowl, Emma turns to look at the little girl, approaching and raising a reassuring hand. ]

It's okay. We'll stop this, one way or another. [ She turns to Snow. ] I wanna talk to Hasmed. See if he recognizes the spells these people are describing. Maybe there's a way to track whoever's used them recently.

Oh, that's a good idea. Do you think maybe the use of the spells leaves some kind of trace or residue?

There are simple spells to detect that sort of thing.

Unless you're planning to follow that up with "that I've got in my spellbook," that doesn't stop me from needing to talk to Hasmed.

[ Snappish at Regina, but Emma deflates to look at Snow and suggest: ] Maybe in the meantime, you guys could figure out who that house belonged to.

[ foot in mouth. Emma's determination flags, but resurges a moment later. ]

Great. You work on tracking the spells, and I'll look into the homeowner then.

[Not shocking, Snow trusts everything her daughter says implicitly and has literally no reason to even kind of suspect that there's even kind of a reason that Emma might want to split up other than to save time. (sense motive crit fail? idek)]

Yeah. [ Dismissed easily because she's distracted doubling back towards the door. ] Call me if you find anything.

[Snow turns to Regina as Emma heads toward the door, giving her squire a smile.]

Let's get on with it. [ she sweeps after her out the door since i assume snow will hold it for her like a... nice person ]

[ Yep sounds good. Emma wanders out of the house too and parts ways with them, heading in the direction of the fire. ]
