[Felicity has come to the TV room to track down an elusive movie that somehow is not on Netflix anymore. It's late at night, she's probably half-asleep but can't pass the rest of the way into unconsciousness until she's found this movie and set it aside for later. It's for those reasons, and mostly her being really stupid, that she doesn't make the connection of Thea not being Vi and greets her accordingly as though it's her best friend (wisdom crit fail).]

Hey, sweetie. What do you think about Chris Pratt for our next movie marathon of choice? Not that there are many, but it might be worth looking into.

[ for what it's worth, thea just sighs, most of her focus remaining on the screen. ]

Not who you think I am.

[There's a beat as she turns back to get a real look at her and she actually has the awareness to look contrite, at least for the moment.]

Oh my God, I am so sorry. I thought you were someone else.

[ she waves her hand lazily like wtfever tbh. she is used to it already. ]

Yep. Got that part.

[And moving on.]

I'm Felicity. I'm one of the freelancers.

[ that catches her attention and she looks up, expression registering the slightest bit of shock before it fades. don't be silly, thea. it's just wishful thinking that she and laurel could pass for sisters... ]

Thea. Fresh, new squire.

[Felicity catches that bit of shock (spot 19), but she doesn't say anything. If it were important, she assumes Thea would have said something herself.]

Welcome to the ranks. How do you like it here so far?

[ ain't that the question. she's still working on the answer. ]

It's alright. My brother's here.

[She nods with a small smile.]

That's good. We don't get a whole lot of family pairs around here.

[Then again, the people here tend to not have a whole lot of family.]

We're a little co-dependent. [ honesty?? look, they're queens, they're a little ridiculous on occasion. ]

[She nods.]

Still, it's good to have your family in the know. Otherwise that's a lot of uncomfortable half-truths to deal with.

[ if only she knew. ]

You look a little like someone from home. So if you run into Oliver...

[ be prepared, i guess. ]

[There's a beat as she weighs her options.]

What does your brother look like?

Tall, dark hair, grey eyes. [ very helpful, that would be any number of people. thea is slightly distracted picking out all the ways felicity doesn't look like laurel, to remind herself not to let laurel slip off her tongue. ]

Physically incapable of smiling. He has a muscle condition.

[She nods once.]

Tall, dark hair, broody serious vibe. I'll keep an eye out.

[Not that they don't have a multitude of those, but she's pretty sure they don't have a whole lot of Knights named "Oliver."]

[ she does actually have a better description, ie a picture, so she flips through her phone to pull up a stupid selfie of her and ollie from years and years ago, when she still had long, long hair. ollie looks appropriately unwilling to take a selfie, but she probably pouted until he did. she holds out the phone to felicity. ]

That's him.

[Felicity takes a look at the picture and she can't help but smile slightly. She can't help but feel a slight pang at that, but it's not something she can change - at least not right now.]

Got it. I'll keep an eye out.

Her name is Laurel. [ thea is a lil' :(, but she tries to brush it off. she's been away from home for years now. she just wasn't expecting to be reminded of laurel so it's kind of throwing her off balance. but conceal don't feel. ]

[Felicity just barely catches it (spot 15), and she can understand the sentiment, of wanting someone to be there but not really getting them (sense motive 11).]

Laurel. Pretty name.

Yeah. She's kind of blonde though. Or was, last time I saw her. Blonde-ish, her highlights were turning into everywhere lights.

[She pauses before making a bit of a face.]

I tried blond once, when I was a kid. Not my color. But who knows, maybe she could make it work.

Her sister's blonde. I think her mom, too. [ shrug. it's genetic? WHO KNOWS. she feels a weird pang at the mention of sara but brushes it off as sara reminding her of when ollie was "dead". ]

[She nods slowly.]

My family was all brunettes. Not a lot of variety there.

Yeah, ditto. [ ignores that her mom is blonde... -_- ignores her mom... ]

[She nods in agreement, before tipping her head to the side.]

Anyway - I should leave you to your reality TV. Thanks for the heads up.
