[ near christmas time, amara comes tracking lila down, whether she wants to talk to her or not. knock, knock. ]

[bittersweeter]

[ after a few moments, lila opens the door wearing a sheet like a dress. she squints, pushing her hair back from her face and her shoulders sag slightly when she notices who it is. ] Hey Amara.

[besmitten]

We need to talk. [ she looks surreptitiously through the door, as if to see if lila's alone in there ]

[bittersweeter]

[ she pushes the door open so amara can enter and flounces back into the room, trailing the sheet behind her. it's empty. sylar's probably... eating or something. lila doesn't know. ]

Okay, go for it.

[besmitten]

[ she struts in as if she owns the place tbh ] Some time ago, we spoke about the possibility of... attempting to return to my home.

[bittersweeter]

[ gathering the sheet tighter around herself, she hops up and perches on the edge of her bed. she could get dressed but... nah. she's still in the relaxed sleepy haze from taking a decent nap thanks to sylar wearing her out. ]

You said it wasn't likely to happen, if I remember correctly.

You also told me that finding a way to break my peoples' 'curse', to free them from their exile, may prove to David that I was worthy of his love, did you not?

[bittersweeter]

I'm pretty sure I said it would convince people you weren't cursed, but yes, that's the gist of it.

[besmitten]

You said if I did this, we would have a chance to be together. [ s-so insistent ] And I told you it would take some preparation on my part, did I not?

[bittersweeter]

Yup. [ you know, if she doesn't murder charming the way lila occasionally wants to do with cassel. either or. ] Did you interrupt my nap to montage our conversation or did you come to tell me that you did the prep and I should book a flight that'll get lost in the Bermuda Triangle. Alex has his pilot's license now, I'm sure he'd love to follow in Amelia Earhart's footsteps.

We might not have to go back there. I think the answer might be somewhere else.

In our homeland, that we abandoned.

What, like -- [ she's blonde and pretty so... ] -- Sweden?

Atlantis.

With Jason Momoa's Aquaman? [ that's probably not right, but you know, whatever. ] How are we supposed to get to Atlantis? Isn't it sunk under the sea or, you know, fictional?

It's the land of my ancestors, it's hardly fictional. It's warded from human eyes, only ruins left behind.

And yes, they're underwater. But that is hardly a true impediment.

[bittersweeter]

[ lila just stares at amara like she's a mentally deficient mountain goat. SHE DOESN'T HAVE GILLS, AMARA. ]

Have you forgotten what manner of power I possess?

[bittersweeter]

No. And you don't need to do the gravity thing again, thanks. [ she holds up a hand like no, don't even, before she shakes her head, trying to wrap her mind around this insanity. ] So how are we supposed to get there?

[besmitten]

That's what I've been doing with all this time. Searching texts, doing some divination spells of my own, to try and find it.

And I think I have.

[bittersweeter]

Okay. [ yep, she's in. no gregs for amara, tbh. none of lila's mistakes. her mouth twists to the side, thoughtful. ] When do we leave?

Whenever you get Wynn to put a team together. You assured me he'd support these efforts.

[bittersweeter]

[ women who will stop at nothing to get their man are loathsome, lila has decided. it's not an incredibly new decision, since she hated herself when she was cursed, but wow getting hit with her own medicine is irritating.

and yet she still slides off the bed to walk to the closet and pull out a frock because she's not going to prowl the castle for wynn wearing a sheet. ]

[ and, if he doesn't support these efforts, she'll pull a gold and go off on her own with amara. ]
