The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ She's not someone that Isaac is expecting to see. Having only heard that Scott is here but having not yet crossed paths with his Alpha, he's unaware of just how many people from Beacon Hills are roaming around this side of the veil. Thus, there is an audible intake of his breath as he turns around after snagging a glass of champagne from a passing waiter, and comes face to face with her. ]

[Allison had been on her way to get herself a drink. She'd paused to look for someone when all of a sudden she's face to face with Isaac. She's a bit flustered, aware that he'd been part of the squiring ceremony, but she hadn't seen him yet.]

Hey! [Her tone is friendly and surprised, hoping mostly that he actually is Isaac and that he remembers her.] I heard you'd been brought in. You -- [She pauses, smiling at him.] You do remember me, right?

[cramped]

Allison.

[ He isn't quite certain how to react, beyond the slight smile that's born from her favorable response to him. But he's still somewhat flabbergasted to see her alive and in the flesh and it likely shows a bit on his expression. ]

-- Hey. You, um... You look great.

[risked]

[Allison smiles, a slight laugh slipping free as he remarks on her appearance. She doesn't really think anything of him seeming surprised.]

Thank you. It's just for the party. I don't wander around the castle in this. [Her head cants, glancing to what he has on.] You look nice too. You and Scott both cleaned up nicely. Have you see him yet?

[cramped]

No. [ He quickly shakes his head. ] I mean, Cora mentioned that he was gonna be here but I haven't... We haven't talked, yet.

[risked]

[She's surprised they didn't run into each other during the squiring itself, but she knows that Scott was already uncomfortable in his armor. She's sure he just ducked out quickly and avoided small talk.]

He's around here somewhere. We came together so I don't think he'd leave without saying something. [It's good that he remembers, considering Stiles - this is good.] Lydia and Stiles are here, too. Derek and Cora -- some girl named Malia and then another wolf, Liam - who I didn't recognize the name at all, but he's from Beacon Hills according to what Cora told me.

[cramped]

[ Malia is a name that Isaac at least recognizes but that's about it. Liam... No, it doesn't ring a bell for him either. ]

Huh. Interesting. [ An awkward pause later and he shifts his glass from hand to hand while averting his gaze somewhat. ]

Look, I'm just gonna... Go out on a limb here. But something tells me you don't really remember what happened the last time I saw you.

[risked]

[It's the first time someone has openly just asked her that. Even Scott just seemed to press past the things she didn't know - though it does seem to be weighing on him a bit. She just doesn't know how to ask, let alone question if she should know or not.]

Outside the school. I saw you as I helped herd the two betas into the school. Scott says it was a few years ago -- and he's been here for three years, so I imagine you're taking about something from that time? I've been here for almost two years now.

[cramped]

[ Isaac swallows and tries his best not to appear crestfallen (lol bluff 9), focusing instead on the latter part of her statement. ]

Wow. Two years. That's... That's a long time.

[risked]

[She catches a bit of his upset (sense motive 17) and cants her head.]

It's gone by quickly. What's the last thing? The one you were wondering if I remembered?

[cramped]

It's not important. [ He blurts out (bluff 16). ] I mean, we can talk about it some other time. [ (lolol bluff 3) Isaac clearly just wants out of the conversation and has no intention of trying to bring this up again. ]

[risked]

Okay... [She's definitely going to mention this to Scott. Maybe he knows why Isaac is so cagey.]

Stiles doesn't remember Scott. So his memory of me is hazy, too.

[She's trying not to sound so upbeat about it all, but Scott having someone he trusts - that remembers him could be a good thing. It could help even him out a bit and tone down his "everyone might die" thought process.]

Who are you squired to?

[cramped]

Uh... Kate Beckett. [ A beat. ] She seems pretty nice, I guess?

[risked]

[Allison smiles, nodding.] I went on mission with her in Andres. We took down the comms towers. Then battled giant spiders. She's a good shot. She used to be a cop, I think.

[cramped]

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me.

[ He finally glances back over at her. ]

Shit, so he doesn't remember him like... At all? [ Isaac is hardly Stiles' #1 fan but he knows how much Scott cares about him. The two of them are like brothers. That's got to majorly suck for Scott. ]

[risked]

It's hard for both of them, but no. His memories of you might be a bit lopsided too, since a lot of the good things you've done are associated with Scott.

Just as a heads up. [Because, she knows his memories of her were a bit lacking.]

[cramped]

[ Isaac nods -- slowly, thoughtfully -- in understanding as his lips purse together and his eyes glance down at the floor.

It's not so much that he cares about Stiles forgetting but Stiles isn't the only one in this situation who doesn't remember the things that they should. It's an uncomfortable prickle of unexpected loneliness. ]

Uh, yeah. Thanks. It's good to know.

[risked]

[Allison offers him a look of understanding. She knows that all of this isn't the easiest to tackle. That there are a lot of things to adjust to and that isn't even just the lack of memory, but the new environment, a new role in this world, and being on a team that's not solely focused on werewolf activities.]

I know Stiles told Scott that he doesn't want to know much about the things that he's forgotten, too. [To Allison she knows that it's probably not completely about not filling in blanks with Scott, but that it's more the upset that must be tied into also forgetting his father. She's sure that under other circumstances that Stiles would be making charts and trying to tie all the memories together.]

He doesn't remember his father either. Stiles, that is. It's probably why he doesn't want to know a lot about Scott.

[cramped]

I wish I couldn't remember my father.

[ That isn't true at all. But it's the snappy, careless thing to say. And that's what Isaac is known for, snappy and careless. It's a facade that's too easy to fall back on when there's no one to call him out on it. ]

[risked]

[Allison's mouth draws into a tight line. A bit uncomfortable with the remark, but not to the point that she'll actually comment on it. Instead, she shifts the focus to things she does want answers for.]

Where did the Knights find you?

[cramped]

[ Her reaction isn't lost on him and he feels a stab of guilt but he barrels on. ]

Sacramento.

[risked]

Oh? At least that wasn't too far from Beacon Hills. I ended up in France. Which was odd since I just came back from France. [She smiles, trying to figure out where else to take the conversation.]

[cramped]

That's where I came through too. I went to Sacramento on my own. [ He was looking for Beacon Hills. Which apparently does not exist in this realm. ]

[risked]

[Allison cants her head, amused at all the travel that Isaac did when he arrived. France to California and now back to London.]

Quite the traveling man.

[cramped]

[ He smiles, gaze flickering back over to her. ]

I guess I better get used to it.
