chicago ♔ give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough

♬ blood - my chemical romance
WHO || Rose, Dimitri, Amrita, Lila, Aurelius, Tia, and Eric [closed]
WHAT || Investigating the crime scenes
WHERE || The alleys of Chicago, IL
WHEN || April 5th [ backdated ]
HOW || Actionspam
The Knights split up, Tia taking Rose, Dimitri, and Amrita in the rented vehicle towards two of the more distant sites from the hotel, while Eric leads Aurelius and Lila through the back alleys of the city to somewhere nearby. It's late by now, and Chicago is alive with the sights and sounds of nighttime in the distance. A light rain falls, dripping off the overhangs of the roofs above and pooling against the sidewalks.

Good thing we're not trigger happy new blood then, huh.
[Almost grinning as her eyes follow his, remembering the guy in question from before.
A plan of action might have been a good idea or at the very least, a few more questions fired at the bartender to make sure they knew what they were walking into but with a Crit Fail on that decision? Rose Hathaway and well thought out plans never had gone hand in hand so why should now be any different.]
Good to know.
[Totally ignoring the warning from the bartender as she pushes off and takes advantage of the ID situation to break away from the group and make a beeline straight for Hunter-Guy, sliding into the chair next to him and leaning on the bar as she gives him an expectant look.]
So I hear you're the guy to talk to about what's been happening around here.
[Yeah.]

BUT HE SURE IS PAYING ATTENTION NOW. while rose goes to confront dean (bless her heart), he firmly stays in position of slightly away from the kiddos' group.]

Guessin' you're not talking about the price gouging going on at the bar here.

he's probably just glad she's walking away from sylar, tbh.]no subject
[She could have tried to turn on the charm but that required patience and effort, neither of which Rose seemed to have left in her arsenal.]
I figure rather than pretend that neither of us knows what I'm talking about we could skip the crap and play a game of I'll show you mine if you show me yours.
[Which... sounded much cleaner in her head okay. Still, with a Gather Information of 14, let's see how that works out for Rose.]

You got blunt down to a science, I'll give you that. [ he glances over her shoulder and eric smoothly looks away on cue... even if aurelius stupidly continues to stare in a really bad attempt to eavesdrop casually. ] I take it you got something worth my time?
no subject
Wouldn't be here if I didn't. [Giving him an expectant look.] I caught a little of your conversation when I came in... What if I was to say I have a lead on this thing you're looking for?
[It wasn't entirely true or a total lie either but with a Bluff Check of 21 what did that matter?]
no subject
Yeah, fine, I'll bite.
But you might wanna tell your boy Legolas over there to work on his poker face.
no subject
Aurelis. It's probably easier for you to eavesdrop if you're standing next to us.

Successful hunting requires several different skill sets, wouldn't you say?
[In other words, don't worry about it. (Diplomacy 21)]

[And you bet she was going to grumble over being able to handle this on her own later.]
Less drinking also helps with that...
[Okay so maybe not.]

[Because Rose was totally bluffing. (Diplomacy 19)]
no subject
[Yeah. So much bluffing in the beginning but that part was sort of true.]

You know what, we didn't come over here to get milked for info by some half drunk, flannel wearing jackass so unless you want to try talking instead of listening, I'm done wasting my time here.

No, I actually think you probably don't know shit. [Folding her arms across her chest, brow raised.] Otherwise you'd be doing something instead of trying to drink your bodyweight in beer.

We've investigated the crime scenes. Each of them were marked with a symbol, which could either be a calling card, a framing attempt, or maybe even a red herring. We're trying to figure out which is the most likely.
