The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[swooping into the squiring/after-party had been a last minute decision for alex, and it shows in his wardrobe choice — he's just wearing a button down and dark jeans. (disguise 10) but it's ok, he hot. he can sell it. when he spots natasha, he just can't help but make his way over.] Hey ... Natasha, right? [wis 15]

Hi. [She flashes a small smile.] Yeah, that's me. [She confirms, switching her drink to her left hand and extending her right hand out to him. She's also starting to think name tags should be a thing here.]

[ they probably should be, tbh. at least for squiring after-parties. he takes her hand and shakes it.] Alex Karamazov. It's funny, the other month I was talking with a friend of mine about whether Russian redheads exist. And here you are, proving me right.

Good thing I showed up then. I guess that means I'm doing my job as a Russian redhead here. [A job she didn't even know she had but ... psh details.] And I like being on the winning side of things. Or, helping someone get to the winning side of things. [Same difference ok.]

Here as in this afterparty? Who doesn't like parties? [The second question there is a mostly not serious one. Mostly. Her own charming smile in return is slightly less charming (cha 15)]

[he just laughs.] I think you're required to show up to your own after-party. Or at least obligated to make a brief appearance. I meant the Knighthood in general.
