[ Hasmed saves for himself his memorized spell to teleport without error, which means there's no chance of his own group appearing miles off the mark. they land instead at the edge of the forest, looking out towards the high chain link fence that surrounds the airfield. on the far end of it, outside the fence, a large brick building is positioned against the river. Hasmed mumbles a few words, cloaking the small group in invisibility, which also means they... can't see each other, sorry guys. He at least gave them a moment to note each other's positions before he did it. ]

That would be our destination.

[ SHE IS FUCKING INVISIBLE. that little hum could possibly be a purr of delight. she hasn't been invisible for years, she's very stealthy on her own, she rarely needs the boost. ]

Oh, a fence. [ narrowing her eyes, she peers at to see if there is barbed wiring atop it (spot 27). ] Why is it always a fence?

[WELL Andie had a wis check of 6 so she sure isn't... thinking about their position or how her speed abilities might make things like this complicated. She's zipping around, not too far off, just enough to get a slightly better look at the building (spot 24), then turns around and...]

Umm. Where is everyone?

[Cara grows still when the magic makes everyone invisible. She is capable of relying on her other senses, but she does not know her companions here and does not wish to be bumped into.]

We are all still here. [Her listen check is a 23 and with her remaining still she can position where everyone is by their movements.]

[Years in the Underdark tend to have you relying on all your senses, so Nels isn't too unsettled by the invisibility.]

[He tosses a small bit of metal junk from his pack at the fence, just to be sure it's not electrified. With all he's heard about this Dimitri character, he's taking ample precaution.]

[ the top of the fence is heavily barbed indeed :c but doesn't appear to be electrified when nels hits it with the small piece of debris. as far as cara can tell, there aren't any footsteps making their way around the parked planes at this time either. andie would notice that there's an entrance directly into the building from within the fence on the opposite end of the airfield. other than that, there are windows, but the building sits on the waterfront, and there's probably no easy way to climb to them. ] A simple invisibility spell, until we're within.

They sure don't make the way to break in obvious, huh...

[She haltingly makes her way back to the group (search 16) and grabs onto whoever's sleeve she first finds.] Sorry... don't wanna get lost.

[ Her hand latches onto Henry's sleeve, but he doesn't mind. Might as well be as close as they can get for the time being. ]

It's okay. I'm happy to lend my sleeve.

[ Henry's studying the fence, the building, their surroundings. It's a puzzle to unravel. Climbing over the barbed wire could be done, but it's risky and...not fun. So, he's quiet, scrutinizing the fence that the barbed wire's attached to, looking for any kind of flaw in the fence itself, even just the tiniest gap that might make it penetrable. Then there's the building itself to think about. This would all be so much easier with jetpacks, or the ability to fly. ]

[ kali is doing the same studying as henry, though obviously she doesn't notice. ] I can jump it. But the rest of you could climb it. My jacket is leather, if we put the jacket over the wire and you are extremely careful, we might be able to get you all over without injury.

[ can you hear her smiling? because she is. very pleased with herself. ]

Well, if we can teleport all the way here, I'd hope a simple fence won't slow us down...

Please tell me somebody brought some bolt cutters, or something? I've got some rope... [He'll spend some time searching for any weak points, or anything that might help, with a NAT 20, so Search check of 30. Dem keen Drow eyes.]

I'm pretty good at unlocking things... I mean, if there's a gate or something. Or magic! Does anyone have magic?

[ That is...an interesting question. When it comes to magic, Henry can rip his own heart out of his body, he knows that for sure, but that's literally no help in this situation. And not something he wants to be telling people, really. Emma has powerful magic, but how much of that was passed to him is a bit of a mystery. ]

I might...sort of have magic? I haven't really used it much.

[ Not committing to anything, in case someone has a better idea. Plus, he doesn't want to disappoint. ]

We might be better off with the bolt cutters, if someone has those. I hope...

[ there's definitely a bit of the fence that looks like it was mangled up by something and is on the verge of busting as is. hasmed doesn't have bolt cutters but it looks like a good strength check could tear it up from the ground enough for y'all to get under. ]

[Cara's spot check of 22 probably spots that weakness in the fence and she's also searching the area for a fallen branch or something to use for leverage. Lifting the fence could work, but holding onto it for a prolonged period of time could prove difficult.]

If we can locate a branch, we could attempt to lift a portion of the fence up. [Her strength check brings up a 16.]

[ she does, in fact, see a branch that can be easily busted off for said purpose! hasmed nods in agreement with the plan, gesturing for them to proceed. ]

[Cara nods as she sees the branch, moving to break it off and bring it toward the weaker looking section of fencing.]

I can lift the fence here. When someone is on the other side, you can lift it for the rest of us.

[She crams the branch beneath the fenceline and shoves it far enough that she can try and make sure she has enough length on the other side for the right amount of lift. Cara uses her knee for leverage, resting the branch over her leg and pressing down as the bottom of the fence lifts upward.]

Are you able to fit? [With everyone invisible, she is unsure how able they are to get low to the ground.]

[It's Andie. Andie keeps from saying it (will 14) because it's not the time, but she does roll her eyes and glares... in a direction that may or may not be related to Hasmed. We just don't know.] I'll try. I'm pretty bendy.

[She lets go of Henry's arm and moves towards the fence, making her way deftly through the hole (dex 22).]

Ok, I'm through!

[She tries to lift it but (str 8) she's not doing so well.]

[ look! she didn't have a name for like... a lot of years! her name is important to her. but she slides through the hole like a slippery eel (escape artist 32), assuming that andie is out of the way. hope she is because kali just dove into her otherwise. whoops. once she straightens up she gives the fence a heave. (str 18) ]

[Nels will make his way under with a 15 Dex check, grinning at the dialogue unfolding around him.]

[ hasmed manages his way under with a 15 as well, and then they're inside the airfield~~~~~ omgs. ] They still can't see us, so as long as we're quiet about it, we should be able to cross to the entrance. I can use a passwall spell to get us within to a likely hall, given there are windows on this side to look in. Come along. [ his move silently is an impressive 15 yep ]

[ kali holds up the fence like a bamf until everyone is through, counting heartbeats in lieu of being able to see anything, mentally checking everyone off. her move silently is a 20 which is only impressive since she rolled a 2. now that they're out in the open, she draws her gun, clicking the safety off. ] What's a passwall? Are we going to be intangible? I've always wanted to do that.

[ a+ whisper commentary. she is just really curious, okay, and she has no c.o. to tell her to cease and desist. ]

Not intangible, no. That particular spell forms a passageway, like a tunnel.
