Last April, a kindly book seller and purveyor of magical lore found himself the victim of an attack via mail when dangerous magical creatures were sent to his shop from the untraceable sender "PTC".  Since then, Wynn's been tracking the mail system, waiting for that name to pop up again, in case it might lead them to find out who was behind the first attack, and stop any other disasters from occurring.  Recently, something popped up on the radar, so the Knights have to find a way into the exclusive restaurant the Spider's Web in Manchester, or its attached nightclub The Lagoon Club.

[Kate holds up her hands almost as though to say "keep it down" because they're still supposed to be in stealth mode here. She puts her gun away for now and glances down to the bullet wound in question.]

It's not the first time I've been shot.

[Not that she actually ... remembers the first time but she's seen the scars and felt the side effects of healing from it. She wasn't that far out of her recovery period when she fell through the Veil - or at least that's what she's guessing. She's also been set on fire but she's trying to keep Alisha calm here, not freak her out more. It's not easy, considering she's, you know, bleeding, but it's at least something (diplomacy 11).]

I'll be fine. And I saw the way he went, but we need back up if we're going to follow him. I'm going to search the body to see if there's anything we can use. Text everyone else and see if you can get the rest of the team together and into the club.

[And with that she's going to go over and go through the pockets of the guy she shot to see if she can find a key card or security pass or anything else that may come in handy, but she's careful, just in case there's more of those poisoned weapons in there somewhere (search 22).]

[ the guy is still breathing, so there's that, just passed out from blood loss. there are four more of those spider-shaped poison shuriken on him, a cell phone, and a machete. he has no form of id whatsoever. ]

[ She pulls out her phone, hand still shaking. She's not 100% sold on not freaking out, but she'll try and keep together at least for now. Fumbling a bit, she texts the rest of the team. ]

In Club wiv K8. Shit goin down. Guns n ninja shit. Get down here quick.

[Kate grabs the shuriken and the machete, holding the latter up to Alisha considering she doesn't seem to have a weapon on her at the moment and seeing if she wants to take it. With the other hand, she'll grab his cell phone and see if she can get something useful off it (computer use 18).]

He's still alive. We should get him out of the way so that he doesn't draw attention.

[ it appears that he's been texted security screencaps of them all from upstairs, from a private number.

"Stop at all costs" is the only text with it. ]

[Crap. Crap crap crap. She's immediately turning back to Alisha and looks up with wide eyes.]

Warn them that we've been made.

What's going on? They know we're here? Why the fuck would they care?

[ her hands are shaking as she's trying to grab at her phone and send another group text. ]

Probably because they don't want us to stop whatever's about to happen.

[She pockets the cell phone, and goes to tug the guy she shot out of the way, but pulls a little too hard at the shoulder she got shot in and drops him with a thud! (strength crit fail). Someone probably heard that nice cry of pain, maybe she's not as fine as she thought.]

C'mon. Help me hide him while we wait to hear from them.

If they're watching us then they're already going to know aren't they? I mean he's not answering his texts, right? Do you think we should reply to them or something?

[ She moves around and grabs hold of his shoulder, trying to pull at him from the other side to get him out of the way. ]

[She shakes her head.]

This is more in case any of the other patrons happen to wander back here. We don't want them calling the cops or inciting a panic.

Okay so where the fuck is everyone? We can't just stay here. What if he wakes up? Or what if someone else comes because he's not answering his phone. Do you think we should answer the texts he's getting?

[Okay, it feels like Alisha is panicking. Kate needs her to stop panicking. She places a hand over her wounded shoulder to apply some pressure, before trying to be as calming as possible (diplomacy 18).]

They have to get into the club first. And I don't think they'll expect him to answer his texts, considering his partner saw him go down. But on the off chance one gets sent, we'll at least know what he's supposed to know.

[She gives her a small smile.]

If he wakes up, maybe we'll be able to get him to answer some questions but for right now we just need to wait for the rest of the team.

[But she does have a point about someone else coming.]

We should definitely keep out of sight though, and she will try and disappear into the shadows (hide 18).]

[ Okay, Alisha takes a few long breaths and looks at Kate, nodding. She's the team leader here, she'll just try and go along with her. ]

Yeah lets just get out the way.

[ She moves up close, trying to stand against the back wall (hide 13) ]
