Andres has been quite the distraction from the looming problem of what's to be done about Dimitris' compatriots in the cult of the Church of the Lord's Humanity. Having learned during the retaking of the Isle that the Church leader, Draken Crombe, has been impersonating NOVA Records mogul Chad Becksworth for years in order to gain access to the company's resources, keeping tabs on his movements has become even more pressing.

His next scheduled appearance? At the upcoming 2015 Grammy's. And considering that the Church was behind the disaster in New York last year, where hundreds of Shadowkind were brainwashed into committing suicide in the Hudson River, it's only logical that Wynn intends to send his own forces to attempt to avert any other large scale catastrophes.

But that's not all. There have been some further twists in the story, and it may be time for them all to come to light. To that end, Wynn has asked many of those involved with the mission to gather, whether they'll be sent to the awards show with the team or not.

He's asked Myrilandel and Violet to come before the others.*

If it's not safe for us to know what we're protecting, then we need to know how much they know. If they already are aware of some of the things required, apparently, then if we can prevent them from attaining those...

We have one key already and Jade's necklace is safe until I want to go get it. But... it's not like we can just call Keijen and be like, yo, bro, heard about your pops, sorry I ruined your chance to go home once already, but can you help me ruin your second chance too?

Discovering how much the enemy knows, and what we might do next will have to fall to after we prevent Blade from sending out his message to the masses. We need to focus on the task at hand, but I believed it was imperative for you all to realize the stakes of what we are up against now - and precisely how dangerous Blade is, to keep anyone from doing anything that might endanger the greater mission.

Wait. [Spike looks over at Lazarus.] Is there a way to... to break his hold over someone? Once he's in their head?

[He has to ask. Since now he wants to rescue Nadia more than ever.]

[Myri is actively interested in the answer that question. Nadia is still her girl okay. She and Spike can share her as a girlfriend. What?]

[Archer has been nodding along, pretending to understand most of these words.]

And, B... What's Hakuna Matata going to do if he gets free? Most... [Archer squints, looks around the room, and continues furtively;] Urban men who get out of prison just end up right back behind bars, right? [He locks gaze with Finnick. This is what you were trying to empathically communicate, right buddy?]

If Malaak'a is freed, he'll have the power to shape this world into a living nightmare. With no one able to oppose him.

As for those already under his thrall... Malaak'a's power is still limited for now. There must be some way that he is maintaining a connection to those in this world, something physical.

Nadia has a necklace like Jade's.

[Spike's will save of 27 means that he does not punch Archer in the face, though the temptation's definitely there. Vi gets a glare too, for encouraging him. Then he turns back to Lazarus. This could actually be helpful.]

Would that work? If we could get the necklace away from her? Or destroy it?

That depends on the nature of their pact, and on the strength of their connection. If he has that much influence over her already, attempting to remove the necklace against her will may simply cause her mind to... crack.

It wouldn't be against her will. She wants out.

Perhaps, but she has not willingly removed the necklace herself yet.

But if someone convinced her to ...

It would still be dangerous. But possible.

[bigbad]

If dangerous was a turn-off, none of us would be here.

I don't mean dangerous for you.

It might kill her.

Then it'll be her choice to take the risk. If she stays on his side, though? That might end up killing her too, in the end.

[Better for her to try and get out if she can.]

We can at least try to give her the option.
