Two bodies have been found in downtown London, likely the victims of attacks by some sort of Shadow creature. To prevent a panic, the police are investigating the matter as a dog attack and a potential robbery, while slipping the case under the table to Wynn and his Knights to look into further. Whatever did this is big, nasty, and seems to have taken down the victims without their even struggling. For now, the team is splitting up to look into the crime scenes more closely.

I encountered them at the home of another knight. Grant Peterson. [She gives Will a curious look.]

What happened in New York?

An entire homeless shelter was essentially turned into the walking dead. The source of the problem was the idol of Ventyr the Emaciated, which I believe they acquired from the Peterson house?

Yes, that was one of the artifact taken, I believe. [She's not quite sure just how it's connected, but it's certainly interesting.]

[familybusiness]

Do you think that's what might be the cause here? Another of those artifacts? Or something else?

Do you know what else was taken?

[daredtobelieve]

[Helen shakes her head.] The other artifact that was taken was that of Barrik the Glutton, but I believe that surfaced sometime in October. I received a call from my squire Lydia while she was out on mission. But they very well could have stolen other artifacts from elsewhere and used them here.

Except all the other cases were jobs pulled by the Children of Chaos, weren't they? These guys are being targeted this time.

[dry as the fuckin desert] It's hard to imagine who could hold a grudge against the Children of Chaos.

Not necessarily. None of them are putting up a fight. They could be doing it willingly, as some kind of sacrifice or part of a ritual.

[daredtobelieve]

Unfortunately, without more information, we won't really know exactly who is doing this or why. But knowing the Children of Chaos are involved in some manner at least tells me that we need to be cautious.

[She shares the details that she was given on the three new locations.]

I think it might be best if we stick together for the remainder of this. [knowledge geography 18 to know the closest crime scene from where they are and she'll suggest that one to check out first.]
