The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Yeah look they are both pretty dumb. Liam just raises his eyebrows like you're asking me? Usually he's the one who's left out of these types of decisions.]

Cora's been helping me out too. [He's not sure he likes the idea of keeping things from her but.] I haven't said anything about it either. Just that Derek helped me before.

[They could be the wonder twins, okay.]

Well at least we're both leaving that out. I think it's smart. There's nothing we can do about it unless he shows up.

Do you think he will? [Things Liam has not bothered to stop and consider, whoops.]

I don't know. The Veil is weird. It took away Stiles memories. It could bring Peter here. It could bring anyone here.

Maybe it'll bring Scott instead. [S-so hopeful. But at least Malia remembers who he is.]

Maybe. [She hopes for that too.]

Who is your mentor?

Her name is Faith. She's really strong. She's been teaching me how to fight.

I don't know her. Is she a werewolf too?

She said she knew a werewolf before.

[And that she kind of hunted things like that but Liam isn't sure how to explain that part to Malia.]

That's better than not knowing anything about them, I guess.

[She glances around again, still not as settled in the new environment as she wishes she was.]

Is it going okay?

With Faith? Yeah. I think she knows what she's doing. Cora's been a big help too. When I first got here, I was having a hard time with control. It's still hard sometimes, but I think it's getting easier.

[Momentary pause while he debates whether or not to bring up the fact that he's basically in counseling because lol. But Malia probably knew everything already because Stiles was kind of a jerk and had a big mouth tbh.]

There's a guy here, Dr. Sweets, who also helps me out sometimes. Stiles and Lydia don't remember me though, so I've sorta kept my distance.

Stiles doesn't remember me either. [Then she showed up in his bed. Also told him all about how they were dating and having sex. But that went... well about as well as it could have gone.]

I met Dr. Sweets. He's much nicer than the doctors at Eichen house, but that doesn't take much.

At least you're here.

[And can remember him. And vice versa. That probably could have been phrased better but w/e he meant well.]

Maybe more people will start to show up too. [With memories pls.]

They might already be here -- just not aware of the Knights.

[Liam's eyebrows shoot up, like oh there is a thought I haven't considered before this very moment.

Maybe. [He might sound kind of hopeful when he says it.]

It's kind of weird that so many of us are here though, right? If there's more of us here, maybe they will too.

Maybe. [Malia likes the hopeful bit. She's glad that there's at least someone that knows Scott, that understands that things get really bad and that this place isn't so bad. Not that the others don't seem like that -- but it's still just odd to think that here are two people that no one else knows.]

I just wish we could fix it. Make it so they understood.

[Yeah him too, gurl. But he doesn't know how else to be positive about this.]

That's true. I mean, of all the places to end up - we all got found by someone with this group.

So we just have to wait. [She frowns. That sounds like a crap plan. Hardly a plan at all.]

[Well, poop. That's not what he wanted. So he's just going to jump in with a solution.

Or maybe there's someone we could tell?

[That is a lack of actual solution but whatever. She obviously wasn't happy with the not telling.]

[Malia looks to Liam and wonders if he's right.]

Do you trust him?

Honestly? I don't really know him that well...

But doctors like that aren't supposed to tell anything their patients say to them without permission.

At least that's what my last psychiatrist told me.
