The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ with a 27 disguise check, cordy is looking jaw droppingly gorgeous, a hilarious contrast to doyle's outfit as his beeline takes him right into her path. her reflex save of 7 is not enough to avoid crashing into him, and she raises both hands, letting out a little cry of protest ] Hey, buddy! Watch it!

[ Hellllllo Nurse. The Irishman couldn't even help staring when she bumped into him. He's a little tounge tied a moment, reaching out on instinct alone to try and not let her fall.]

No thanks to you. [ for all her grumbling, she seems fine, reaching down to smooth her dress, and then looking him over with a critical eye ] ... Did you miss the whole 'formal attire' memo?

[ he checked her out again, and crit fail here cause its so noticeable.]

[ she makes a light scoffing sound, but instead of just laughing in his face and swanning off like she might have a couple years ago, she lingers around because, well. she's not the most popular girl in sunnydale here, and it's kind of nice to be given the admiration she still feels she deserves. she flips her hair back with one hand carelessly, looking him over ] Well, yeah.

Since last fall. Right before the big coup on Andres Isle.

So did ya fight in that deal?

I was on socialite detail. Someone had to wine and dine with the Andres elite to keep them from freaking out.

Well, you can blame that one on the British love. Woman weren't really allowed to be knights back in the day. So, it's pretty much the only term they got to use. [ He shrugged but, thrying to look sympathetic. He's not, but hey he's gotta try. (Bluff 15) ]
