The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

She's even mingling like a good little changling, happily chatting with people she knows while carrying around a glass of wine.

Humility for the opportunity and forgiveness Wynn has extended might be more fitting than defensive egotism.

Her eyebrows raise as she knocks back the rest of her drink, as if preparing for bad news or something before she gets that instead and ends up looking super excited instead.]

Excellent! That will make gifts a whole lot easier. But for the unrepentantly lazy, there is always the flowers option.

[Because Vi especially loves flowers she didn't have to grow herself.]

I was thinking just a little garden party thing? Nothing too fancy, just something I can be like "Hey, let's go for a walk - oh look, where did this party of baby things come from?!"

Yeah, that's perfect. Then we don't have to talk her in to showing up, either. Surprise party is probably the best way to go.

[A pause before:]

I have to admit, I have't exactly been to a baby shower before, but it doesn't have to be more complicated than drinks, snacks and presents, right?

Nah. We can keep it simple. Sometimes there are games and stuff, and I'm sure we as knights can find ways to make those interesting, but they aren't a must have. It can just be a quiet little mix and mingle.

[A thought occurs to her.]

Maybe we could do a combination baby shower...have you met Myri? They're both due at like the same time almost.

[Felicity hesitates, because while she does know about Myri and the baby through Vi, that isn't exactly what she's going for here. But she also doesn't want to be rude and make it seem like she doesn't think Myri should have this either (diplomacy 20 total).]

I haven't, but uh. I think Vi needs something for Vi right now. And I worry that if we include Myri in it, she won't let it be about her. It's not that I don't think Myri should have one, but maybe it would be better if it were ... separate?

Neither of them tend to let it be about them, figured it'd be more comfortable for them to share the spotlight.

[ hella gorg. sorry wynn, this boring ass party just got turned up to 11. basically this is happening because two incredibly attractive women are dancing together like heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey. all the dancing kali knows is from movies, too, so she starts copying elena and eventually turns to loop her arms around elena's neck with a smile. ]
