[ Vi's baby comes first, the labor pangs beginning around 9pm on the 14th, while she's alone, watching TV.

Myri's wake her up in the middle of the night, at 4am, on June 28th.  ]

Myri?

[ Buffy's voice cracks quickly over the phone, not tired enough to indicate she'd been woken up. In fact, it sounds like she's out of breath. ]

What's going on? Are you okay? [ After the situation with Finnick played out, complications had been her first concern. She grabbed her towel from beside the training mat and started towards the Light wing where she guessed Myri might be in bed. ]

[witchwoman]

I'm... [She doesn't know what she is. She's okay, but that's not really the important part.]

It's happening. I think- I think it's time.

[slay]

Time? Like time-time? Time for the baby time or time in the abstract, existential sense of the word time where — I mean, it's always time. [ And she's hurrying now. ]

[witchwoman]

She's coming, Buffy. I think she's coming. [And she finally makes it to her door, opening it and making her way out into the hall to find Solace.]

Let the others know? But-- call Vi last. I want her to get as much sleep as she can. [Despite Vi's insistence that it would be fine, Myri is trying to be considerate for the new mother.]

I can only hope Solace is a light sleeper. [She says as she slowly makes her way down the hall.]

[slay]

It's coming. [ Beat. ] The baby's coming.

[ In a battle, Buffy doesn't panic. Faced with the unknowns of a baby? There's an edge of it creeping into her voice, like she believes it may just fly out demanding college tuition any moment. ]

Phone tree. Okay, phone tree. I'll come find you. Don't— Don't make any sudden movements. [ ? ? ? Or is that for handling bears? Buffy hangs up, still making her way to the Dragon's Light wing, but starts the phone tree with calling Elena. ]

[witchwoman]

[With that phone call done, Myri focuses on getting to Solace. She's not moving super fast, but she's also not that far from him, so it's not very long before she knocks on his door, trying to remember to breathe evenly.]

Sir Solace?

[It takes a little while for Elena to answer the phone. Blame it on the fact that it's the middle of the night.]

H-hello?

[sirsolace]

[ he was actually in a dead sleep so it takes a second for him to get to the door. when he does, he's in his nightclothes, and his brows climb when he sees who it is. ] Is it time?

[witchwoman]

I... [She winces as a new contraction comes, her mouth dropping open as a cry of pain is strangled around the word 'yes.' She just nods pathetically.]

[slay]

It's the baby. Myri's baby is coming. Can you give Gar and Vi a call? I'm gonna wake Kat up. I'm heading over there now.

[doubletake]

Right now?

[Okay, yeah, that wakes her up.]

Uh, yeah, I can do that. Do you want us all to head over there right away?

[slay]

Oh, I don't— I don't know. She didn't say. Yes? Yeah. I think so.

[sirsolace]

[ solace moves forward to support her, nodding down the hall ] We need to get you to the med center.

[witchwoman]

[She nods and lets him lead her along the way. She's mostly focusing on breathing now.]

[There's the sound of movement on the other side of the phone as she keeps talking to Buffy.]

Alright, let me make the phone calls and I'll head over. Give me 15 minutes?

[slay]

That sounds good. Thanks.

[ And Buffy hangs up and continues to phone tree through Kat and ?? whoever else Myri had her on watch to include? ]

[witchwoman]

[Would have been all of failboat. Not that she expects them all to come right away, but she's going to have them all notified right away that shit is going down and let them decide if they want to come a-running. She assumes Des and Mark won't be making it asap, but they should both at least know. But even later failboat additions like Rose and Alainn would be on her notification list. Oh and Wynn. Definitely wake Wynn up at 4am Buffy.

He's the one that made sure Myri understood that the knights are like famil okay.]

Let's get you laid down somewhere comfortable. [ gar and kat are on their way!!! solace seems to know exactly what to do, so he has someone help myri up onto a bed here, as he starts gathering supplies. ]

[witchwoman]

[Laying down, the reality of this happening fucking now seems to set in. That realization is cut off by another contraction, which drags a sharp cry out of her. Ow. Fucking ow.]

[sirsolace]

I can give you something for the pain, if you desire.

[slay]

[ And that's about the time Buffy comes screeching in, breathing hard from obviously having run from the middle of her midnight workout all the way here. ]

I'm here! I'm here, is she okay? [ She barrels through, and though her question seems to be aimed at Solace, her eyes are on Myri. ]

[witchwoman]

Yes! [That's to Solace.] I'm fine, [that part's to Buffy] but... something for the pain would be wonderful.

[Bless modern medicine.]

[wynn]

[ "She's only just arrived, we're getting her comfortable," solace says as he prepares for some drugs for her yay.

wynn appears in the doorway, hovering there about that moment. ]

[witchwoman]

[Myri nods to agree with Solace, trying to reassure Buffy because she takes care of people like that. But her expression falters when she sees Wynn.

Well, that's unexpected. She stops and stares for a moment, before she manages a smile.]

Hello, sir.

[wynn]

May I come in? [ he smiles back ever so slightly at myri, clearly not wishing to interfere ]
