[ Vi's baby comes first, the labor pangs beginning around 9pm on the 14th, while she's alone, watching TV.

[Elena watches with concern as she winces, but she wants to let Vi be strong on her own if she wants.]

Fine, yes. That doesn't mean you can't lean on us when it hurts like a bitch, alright?

[She says it with a tone of humor, just putting the idea out there. She has a feeling there will be plenty of hand squeezing to come once it gets worse.]

Yeah, you go it.

[And then she hangs back a step as she pulls out her phone and rings up Mark.]

[ they're so good to her. she looks up at felicity like hi. ] No Lance Bass, huh?

I tried so hard, but his people just would not call my people.

[She pauses, before reaching into her back pocket, pulling out the sparkly bottle of glitter she stashed there.]

I did make good on the glitter, though. I just figure it would be safer for post-birth. We don't need it getting places it shouldn't be going.

Ooh! [ she makes a grab at it, but lets her hands fall when felicity finishes speaking. ] Okay, you make a valid poi--.

[ and then she's hissing in pain again, palms pressed against her belly. ow ow ow ow ow. she tries to breathe through it, but she really just holds her breath on every contraction. ]

[ elena cannot get a hold of mark 8( likely some kind of kingly business of his. kat busts in moments later though, fries in hand, looking panicked. ] You don't text someone that you're having a baby!!

Why not? [ she pushes herself back to her feet with a groan as the contraction ends, making grabby hands for the french fries. ] It's not like it's happening right now. And I didn't want you to think you had to stick around for all this grossness.

[ she loves kat, deeply, but she doesn't want to traumatize her. ]

Although I do have something to ask you that's possibly more important than french fries.

[Elena catches back up, pocketing her phone.]

Mark didn't answer, so I left a message.

[ she looks briefly crestfallen by that, but plasters a smile back on. she's fine, he's busy running a country, it's no biggie. ]

Okay, thanks.

[ there's other people to call, but because she doesn't want everyone else up in her junk, really it'll just be myri until the birth is over. and that can wait, let her friend relax a little bit longer. ]

[Felicity will just be here, rubbing Vi's shoulders and offering her hand to squeeze until the next contraction hits.]

Sure. [ kat tries not to be uncomfortable like WHAT COULD ANYONE ASK ME ABOUT BABIES I KNOW NOTHING. ] What is it?

[ she gives kat a weak smile before blurting her question out. ]

So, I mean, I'm not Catholic or anything, but you mean the world to me and you've always been there for me since pretty much day one here and this comes with zilch responsibility, just importance. But, um -- [ jk she's cut off by a contraction so the actual question is lost and vi spits out: ] Godmother!

You want me to be her godmother?

[ her face is screwed up in pain and she's squeezing felicity's hard very, very hard, but she manages to nod, definitely holding her breath. ]

Yes! Of course, yes. Why would I not say yes?

[graveflowers]

[ she lets out the breath in a sigh, shrugging helplessly and releasing felicity's hand. ]

I dunno, but I wasn't going to just tell you to be her godmother. You really wanna do it?

[allmydreams]

[There was one, brief, high pitched noise of hurt with the squeezing of that hand, mostly because it caught her by surprise more than anything else (will save 7). Once her hand is released, however, she will very quietly shake it out and flex her fingers a bit to make sure they're still usable.]

Come on, let's get you to were you can lay down or something. Then at least if you break poor Felicity's hand, someone can heal it right up, too.

[She means it in good humor, of course. More concerned about her falling in the hall or something.]

Elenabanana, my love, I can heal Felicity's hand. [ she looks back at her friend like, ] I didn't break it, did I?

[Felicity glances over before shaking her head.]

What? No. I just wasn't ready for it.

[She will totally be prepared next time. She's got this.]

[She snickers.]

Yes, because inflicting more pain on yourself is what you should be doing right now.

Hey! I can heal without that. You're giving all my secrets away! [ but she joins in with soft laughter. this is a good environment to have a baby tbh. happiness and laughter and light. ] I think it's gonna take some time, one of you think you could find Risa or Solace and let 'em know that it's sort of... happening?

God-mom's got this covered. Brb. [ and she's gonna tear out of there ]

[ one down, one to go, she's feeling pretty pleased with how well she is handling all this. she's not panicking, she's not freaking out, she's powering through most of the pain. she feels like she's in charge for the moment, so she looks to elena and felicity like let's find me a room and do this. ]

Okay, so supplies. Which I may have hidden in here a few weeks ago. There's a pink striped duffle bag under one of the beds. [ she's just gonna lead the way to that bed tbh, slow and steady, eating her french fries steadily. ] It's got my iPod dock and a fluffy pillow and some lavender scented stuff. Let's get this party started.

[ she has other stuff like clothes for her and the baby so someone doesn't have to go running back to her room later and a soft green blanket with lucia's name stitched into it, but the music and flower smell is what is important to her right now. ]

[She makes sure Felicity has Vi, before she heads in the direction her friend is leading them, finding it pretty quickly (search 29). She pulls it out as they head over, extracting the items mentioned since she's pretty sure that's what she'll want first.]

[Felicity totally has Vi (strength nat 20), and she will very carefully help her over to the bed and help her climb up, reaching for the pillow when Elena brings it closer.]

Just let me know where to apply the padding.
